Simple Hammers is a Bedrock addon by Salas2212 that adds six hammers, each breaking blocks across a 3x3x1 area instead of one at a time. The aim is faster ore hunting and room clearing without leaving the vanilla look and balance behind. It is Bedrock only and the newest release asks for no other pack.

What it adds
The 3x3x1 patch follows the face you hit on the central block. Each hammer breaks the same blocks as a pickaxe of the same tier, so a Stone Hammer will not clear diamond ore.

Enchantments and balance
Every vanilla pickaxe enchantment works. Silk Touch and Fortune apply to each block in the broken area. Unbreaking is rolled block by block, so a full 3x3x1 swing costs 9 durability points on a plain hammer and around 4 with the enchantment, depending on how many blocks actually break.
To keep things fair, mob spawners and ancient debris are never broken in bulk. Mine stone next to a spawner and the stone goes, the spawner stays.
Other addons
Hammers also break blocks from other addons when those blocks carry a stone or pickaxe-destructible tag, such as the tier-destructible tags. Fortune on modded ores only works when the block's type id contains _ore. Better on Bedrock is named as a compatible example.
Installing it
- 1.Open the addon file with Minecraft on Bedrock so it imports.
- 2.Create or edit a world and switch the addon's packs on under Behavior Packs and Resource Packs.
- 3.Craft a hammer from its recipe and mine as usual.

How do I install Simple Hammers on Bedrock?
Open the addon file with Minecraft so it imports, then switch on its behavior and resource packs in the settings of the world you want to use. Add-ons only load on Bedrock, so Java players cannot use this one.
Does Fortune work with the hammers in Simple Hammers?
Yes. Silk Touch and Fortune both apply to every block in the broken 3x3x1 area. For ores added by other addons, Fortune only works when the block's type id contains _ore.
How much durability does a hammer lose per swing?
A plain hammer spends 9 durability points when a full 3x3x1 area breaks, since each block is counted. With Unbreaking, each block is checked at random, so the same area costs around 4 points. Fewer blocks broken means less wear.
Can Simple Hammers break blocks from other addons?
Yes, if the block has a stone tag or a pickaxe-destructible tag, such as the iron, diamond or netherite tier tags. Spawners and ancient debris are excluded from area breaking to keep balance.
