Tierify - Prominence II Tweaks is a Minecraft data pack that retunes the default attribute values of the Tierify mod, which adds rarity tiers and stat buffs or debuffs to equipment. Afterlyte wrote it for the Prominence II modpack by ElocinDev, but it works in any setup where these values are wanted. It is required on the server, and optional on the client.

Supported versions

  • Minecraft 1.20 to 1.20.1. The newest build requires Tierify; some builds for 1.20 to 1.20.1 need no dependencies.

What changes in-game

The goal is to make tier values feel logical and progressive while keeping every original maximum intact. Nothing gets stronger at the top end. The curve between tiers gets smoother.

  • Roll weights are slightly higher, so Mythic gear can now be crafted or found in loot in rare cases.
  • Stat values are adjusted for every equipment type to even out progression from tier to tier.
  • Shield values are reworked to match armor, making a shield a fifth armor piece for tier buffs.
  • Bows no longer accept the offhand as a valid slot, which stops dual wielding from stacking unnatural ranged buffs.
  • Ranged weapon definitions are expanded, including the guns from Marium's Soulslike Weaponry in Prominence II.
  • Rose Gold tools from the Oxidized mod are added explicitly, since they lacked the tags AutoTag normally provides.
  • Reforge materials are registered for bows without automatic repair material support, and for modded metal gear processed by Ore Unification, which previously had unobtainable reforge materials.

The full table of changed stats is published in a spreadsheet linked from the Modrinth page.

Questions about Tierify - Prominence II Tweaks.

3 questions

Do I need Tierify to use the Tierify Prominence II Tweaks data pack?

Yes. This data pack only adjusts values for the Tierify mod, and the creator says to make sure Tierify is properly installed alongside it. Install the mod first, then place the .zip in your world's datapacks folder and reload the world.

Can I use these Tierify tweaks outside the Prominence II modpack?

Yes. It was created for Prominence II but designed to work in any setup where its values are wanted, and the creator invites use in your own modpack.
