Horizon City - Advanced World is a hardcore survival city map for Minecraft Java. It expands the earlier Horizon City 2020 world with far more buildings, reworked older ones and a lot of added decor. Dragon_XY updated it as recently as February 2026.

What you have to do
The city holds about 3000 monster spawners, hidden mostly inside walls and floors. Nothing is safe to assume, so every building is a risk. The world sets three goals.
- 1.Find every type of music disc.
- 2.Find or craft a beacon.
- 3.Locate any underground catacombs and leave the city through them, carrying all the discs and the beacon.
Discs sit in chests scattered at random, three of each type. The number to collect depends on the release you play: 14 in the base world, 15 for 1.19, 16 for 1.20 and 21 for 1.21.10. From 1.21.10 on, the discs in chests are enchanted.
How to install Horizon City
Download the zip from CurseForge, unzip it into your .minecraft/saves folder, then pick the world from the Singleplayer menu. The full steps are in our guide to installing Minecraft maps. The map is Java only, so Bedrock players cannot import it.
Spawner-free option and trade-offs
The creator also publishes a variant labelled no spawners, which completely lacks monster spawners.
