Classic Texture Fix is an x16 resource pack for Bedrock that brings back the pre-update look of blocks, items and mobs, patched for newer content. It works on Bedrock only and is a plain resource pack, so there is no loader to install. It stands in for the delisted Classic Texture Pack from the in-game Marketplace and adds Vibrant Visuals support.

Supported versions

  • Minecraft 1.21.40 to 26.50. The newest build optionally uses Spawn Eggs Revert and Classic Texture Panorama.

What changes visually

The pack goes well past the original. Newer blocks get classic textures, including the copper family, deepslate, tuff, mud, the Crafter, Trial Spawners and Vaults, plus wood sets for mangrove, cherry and pale oak. Items cover netherite and copper gear, potions, tipped arrows, banner patterns, music discs and explorer maps. Mobs range from piglins and hoglins to the Happy Ghast, the Copper Golem, new wolf variants and a long list of baby mobs. Effect icons, sign screens and parts of the How to Play screen are retextured too.

Vibrant Visuals and optional extras

Vibrant Visuals can be enabled with this pack. It includes MERS (PBR) textures for many blocks, items and entities, and static coloured light support for lighting blocks. Coal, iron, gold and redstone ore textures can be switched with the separate Classic Ore Patterns add-on. The newest release can also use Spawn Eggs Revert and Classic Texture Panorama, both optional.

How to install Classic Texture Fix

Longer steps are in how to install add-ons on Bedrock, and fixing add-ons that do not load helps when the pack refuses to show up.

Questions about Classic Texture Fix.

3 questions

Is Classic Texture Fix available for Java?

No. It is a Bedrock resource pack published in CurseForge's Bedrock section, and Java cannot load Bedrock add-ons or resource packs in this format. Java players need a pack built for Java. On Bedrock it imports from a .mcpack or .mcaddon file and is switched on per world under Resource Packs in the world settings.

Does Classic Texture Fix support Vibrant Visuals?

Yes. Vibrant Visuals can be enabled with the pack. It includes MERS (PBR) textures for many blocks, items and entities, plus static coloured light support for lighting blocks. The classic look stays in place, and the PBR data covers many assets rather than every one.

What does Classic Texture Fix replace?

It patches the Classic Texture Pack that was on the in-game Marketplace and is now delisted. Players who still prefer the old textures get the classic look back, plus extra coverage for newer blocks, items, mobs and interface icons, and optional extras such as Classic Ore Patterns for ore textures.
