Abandoned & Ruin Structures is an abandoned ruin structures addon for Bedrock Edition by NicoTheKid. It adds new ruined houses, dungeons, castles, towers and tombs that generate on their own as you explore. It loads per world and does not run on Java Edition.

Supported versions

  • Minecraft 1.21.50 to 26.40.

What it adds

Each structure spawns in specific biomes. Small ones turn up often, large ones are rare. Not everything sits on the surface, since some structures generate on the ocean floor or underground. Many come in several variants, and some hide mob spawners, loot chests or ores.

  • Large builds such as the Abandoned Castle, Ancient Tomb, Illager Fort, Jungle Pyramid and Lost Ship.
  • The Ocean Guardian Fort and the Badlands Nether Portal.
  • Ten wooden huts, one for each wood type from oak to bamboo.
  • Abandoned villager houses and chapels fitted to their biomes.

Generation and loot

Most Overworld structures use jigsaw generation, so they blend into the terrain instead of sitting buried. Several dungeons and forts use trial spawners, and loot tables include spears, horse armor, harnesses and golden dandelions. Structures that have identifiers, for example ntk:abandoned_castle, can be found with /locate in Creative Mode.

The pack ships subpack settings for Normal, Lower and Higher structure spawn rates, so you can tune how often ruins appear.

How to install Abandoned & Ruin Structures

  1. 1.Get the .mcaddon file from the CurseForge page and open it with Bedrock so it imports.
  2. 2.Create a world or edit an existing one, then switch on the addon's behavior and resource packs in the world settings.

If the import fails or the packs do not appear, the add-on install guide and the troubleshooting guide cover the usual causes.

Questions about Abandoned & Ruin Structures.

3 questions

How do I install Abandoned & Ruin Structures on Bedrock?

Download the .mcaddon file from CurseForge and open it with Bedrock so it imports. Then enable its behavior and resource packs in your world's settings. Existing worlds may not work properly after an update from an older release, so a new world is the safer choice.

Does Abandoned & Ruin Structures need experimental toggles?

The page names no experimental toggles, and the newest file lists no required packs or dependencies. You only need to import the add-on and enable its packs for the world you want to use.

How do I find structures from Abandoned & Ruin Structures?

In Creative Mode, use the /locate command with a structure's identifier, such as ntk:abandoned_castle or ntk:lost_ship. The add-on also offers Lower and Higher spawn rate subpacks if ruins feel too rare or too common.
