Herobrine Lurking is a Bedrock addon by Minez400 that turns an ordinary survival world into a horror run. Herobrine stalks the player with signs, sounds and sudden attacks. It is Bedrock only, and the creator states it works on both mobile and PC.

Supported versions

  • Minecraft 26.20.

What it adds

Herobrine is driven by a set of events rather than a single boss fight. Several are passive and designed to unsettle, others hit hard.

  • Attacks and ghosting: Herobrine strikes and vanishes, or silently watches from a distance, sometimes triggering random sub-events.
  • Jumpscare mode: look straight at him and he teleports to you, applies an effect and disappears.
  • World tampering: torches turn into redstone torches, perfect 2x1 tunnels appear underground, and fires spread across flammable blocks.
  • Messages: signs with chilling text appear, and eerie lines can show up in chat.
  • Animals: he can take control of chickens, cows, sheep and pigs, and attacking an animal may turn it into a possessed creature.
  • Atmosphere: unexpected sounds, plus a black screen with random cave noises.

Blood Moon night

The Blood Moon event makes every hostile mob faster and stronger. You cannot sleep during the event, and Herobrine himself grows more powerful.

Installation

The newest release lists no dependencies or required experiments. If you have not imported an addon before, the Bedrock addon install guide covers each step.

  1. 1.Open the pack file from CurseForge with Bedrock so it imports.
  2. 2.Create or edit a world and switch on the addon's behavior pack and resource pack in the world settings.
  3. 3.Load the world. Some events are off by default, so with operator permissions use the /herobrine command to enable them.
