Do I need to join the SMP to explore Little Land?
No. The world download exists so people who have never heard of Little Land SMP, or who just want to look around, can explore it without joining the SMP. Joining the community itself is handled separately through the creator's channel membership.
Why does Little Land SMP lag?
Some structures and farms are very large, and the world does not run well on low-end devices. The creator suggests a mid to high gaming PC, an Xbox Series X or S, or a newer Samsung phone, and a higher render distance.
