OptiFPS is an optimization modpack that brings OptiFine-style features to Fabric, powered by Sodium instead of OptiFine. It targets higher frame rates on both low-end and high-end PCs. The pack runs on your own machine only, and multiplayer hosts do not support it.

What's included
The pack is built around Sodium's rendering engine and adds the tweaks players usually reach for OptiFine to get. The mod groups, in short:
- Performance tweaks from Lithium, FerriteCore and Starlight

- No telemetry, and no unnecessary bloat
How to install OptiFPS

- 1.Open the Modrinth App, Prism Launcher or another launcher that imports Modrinth packs.
- 2.Add OptiFPS from its Modrinth page and pick the release that matches the Java release you want to play.

The pack centres on performance and visual enhancements, so it suits players who want a lean setup. It is Fabric only, and the project links no public source repository.

Does OptiFPS replace OptiFine?
OptiFPS offers OptiFine-like features without needing OptiFine. Sodium handles rendering, Iris adds shader support, and the pack also includes visual extras such as dynamic lighting and a custom sky. You do not install OptiFine alongside it.
Which loader does OptiFPS use?
OptiFPS runs on Fabric. Your launcher fetches the loader automatically when it imports the pack from Modrinth, so you do not install Fabric by hand. The pack lists no other loaders, and there are no extra dependencies to add.
Do I need OptiFPS on the multiplayer host as well?
No. OptiFPS is installed on your own machine only, and hosts do not support it.
