Quantum Freedom 3 is a sandbox-style kitchen-sink modpack for Minecraft Java, aimed at relaxed play alone or with friends. It runs on Fabric, and older Quilt releases exist but have stopped. The pack must be installed on both the client and the server.

Loaders and versions

  • Fabric: Minecraft 1.19.2 to 26.2.
  • Quilt: Minecraft 1.18.2 to 1.21, builds stopped after July 2024.

What's included

The design rule is one mod for one use. Nothing ships without a reason, which keeps resource use low. Players can build machines to take control of the world, or lean into nature and magic. The pack succeeds the Technical Electrical series.

  • Create and Modern Industrialization for machines and automation.
  • Botania and Bewitchment for magic.
  • The Bumblezone, with many more mods listed in the file dependencies.

Multiplayer and Steam Deck

A public SMP server is reachable from the main menu through the connect to server button. It is temporarily unavailable and is due back with Quantum Freedom 3. Servers for Quantum Freedom 2 install through superpack, using the file that sits beside the client pack.

The pack is also tuned for Steam Deck. The only setup is assigning key bindings, after which it performs well.

How to install Quantum Freedom 3

  1. 1.Open the Modrinth App, or Prism Launcher or another launcher that reads .mrpack files.
  2. 2.Add the pack from its Modrinth page.
  3. 3.Let the launcher fetch the mods and the Fabric loader, then start the profile.

Questions about Quantum Freedom 3.

4 questions

How do I install Quantum Freedom 3?

Import the pack into the Modrinth App, or into Prism Launcher or another launcher that reads .mrpack files. The launcher downloads the listed mods and the Fabric loader for you. Start the profile once it finishes. Server owners install the pack on the server side as well.

Does Quantum Freedom 3 need to be installed on the server?

Yes. The pack is required on both the client and the server, so a world shared with friends needs everyone on the same pack. Servers for the earlier Quantum Freedom 2 install through superpack, using the file posted alongside the client pack.

Is there a public server for Quantum Freedom 3?

A public SMP server is meant to be reachable through the connect to server button on the main menu. It is temporarily unavailable because of issues, and it is due to return with Quantum Freedom 3.

Does Quantum Freedom 3 work on Steam Deck?

Yes. The pack is optimised for Steam Deck. The only thing to set up is key bindings, and after that it runs well. Its one-mod-per-purpose design keeps resource use low, which suits handheld hardware.
