The Easy Shulker Boxes mod lets you work with shulker boxes straight from your inventory on Fabric and NeoForge. Insert items, pull them out and browse the contents without ever placing the box on the ground. It borrows its feel from bundles and must be installed on both sides of a multiplayer setup.
Loaders and versions
- Fabric: Minecraft 1.19 to 26.3. The newest build requires Fabric API, Puzzles Lib and Forge Config API Port; some builds for 1.19.1 to 1.19.2 require Cardinal Components API, Fabric API, Puzzles Lib and Forge Config API Port.
- NeoForge: Minecraft 1.20.4 to 26.3. The newest build requires Puzzles Lib.
- Forge: Minecraft 1.19 to 1.20.4, builds stopped after April 2024. The newest build requires Puzzles Lib and Forge Config API Port, optionally Forge Config Screens; builds for 1.19 to 1.20.1 require Puzzles Lib.
What it changes
- Scroll the mouse wheel or use the arrow keys to select exactly which stored item you want.
- Click items onto a box, or a box onto inventory slots, to move contents in and out.
- Drag across several slots to insert or extract in bulk.
- Hold Control (Command on Mac) to move single items instead of full stacks.
- Tooltips show contents and details of the selected item, with optional bundle-style fill bars and hints about whether a held item fits.
- Ender chests are supported too, and data packs can add storage items from other mods, such as backpacks.
Installation
- 1.Install Fabric or NeoForge for your Java release.
- 2.Add Easy Shulker Boxes and its required libraries to the mods folder. Both loaders need Puzzles Lib, and Fabric also needs Fabric API and Forge Config API Port.
- 3.Put the same files on the multiplayer host, then launch with the loader profile.
Configuration
Interactions, controls, tooltip behaviour and visual features can all be adjusted. On Fabric, in-game settings need Mod Menu. Otherwise edit the toml files in the config folder, named with the mod ID plus client, common or server.
The trade-off is the dependency stack, especially on Fabric, where three libraries are needed. Forge releases stopped in April 2024, so current play means Fabric or NeoForge.

Do both players and the host need Easy Shulker Boxes?
Yes. The mod adds real inventory interactions rather than just tooltips, so it has to be installed on both the player's side and the multiplayer host.
Does Easy Shulker Boxes work on Forge?
Forge releases exist for older Java releases, but they stopped in April 2024. For anything newer, use the Fabric or NeoForge files, which both have current builds.
Does it work with ender chests or modded backpacks?
Ender chests are supported directly. Storage items from other mods can be added through data packs, which lets the mod integrate with many modded backpacks and similar containers.
