Making a painting
Images come from drag and drop, a screenshot or a pasted URL. The creation menu pixelates the picture and applies post-effects and dithering, so it looks at home next to vanilla blocks without much fiddling. A selection GUI lets you hang your own paintings, those of other players, or packs shared as optional datapacks. A default datapack is available for a quick start, and no resource pack is needed.
Frames and finishes
- Several frame styles and a wide range of materials to set the artwork off.
- Glowing paint is available as well.
- Graffiti for images with transparency, sprayed onto any wall.
- Joy of Painting compatibility, so a canvas placed on a painting can be showcased.
The creator describes the performance impact as not noticeable, thanks to level of detail, caching and lazy streaming of image data.
Installing and server limits
- 1.Install the loader that matches your Minecraft release, following the mod installation guide if you are new to it.
- 2.Put the mod file and every required library in the mods folder.
- 3.Launch with the loader's profile.
