Powah! is a Minecraft Java tech mod built around one job: generating, storing, and moving Forge Energy. Fabric and Forge both run the same stable line through Minecraft 1.20.1, while an actively developed NeoForge build reaches 26.1.2. Both the client and the server need the mod installed, along with two required library mods.
Power generation progression
Powah's generators form a clear early-to-late progression, which is why it shows up as the power layer in kitchen-sink packs like All the Mods 10. Each generator also comes in seven tiers, starter through nitro, and a higher tier means more FE per tick and more storage capacity without changing how the machine works.
- Furnator: burns solid furnace fuel like coal or wood, the earliest and simplest generator
- Magmator: converts lava or another high-temperature fluid into FE
- Thermo Generator: sits on a heat source and needs a coolant fluid like water to keep running
- Solar Panel: generates from direct sunlight; anything blocking the light above it stops production
- Reactor: a 3x4 multiblock fueled by Uraninite, the mod's endgame generator
Storage, cables, and required dependencies
Energy Cells store the FE these generators produce, in the same seven tiers, and Energy Cables move it between machines. Ender Cells and Ender Gates add wireless transfer across a linked network instead of running cable. Powah will not run without two required mods installed on the same loader and version.

Fabric, Forge, or NeoForge build
Fabric and Forge share the same release line, both topping out at build 5.0.11 for Minecraft 1.20.1, published in July 2025. NeoForge is the line still moving: the newest build is 7.0.4-alpha for Minecraft 26.1.2, published in May 2026. Pick the file tagged for your loader; the three builds are not interchangeable.
Powah's reactor is a genuine endgame block, but its output still sits below dedicated power mods like Mekanism. In packs that push well past Powah's tiers, Mekanism or a similar mod usually takes over as the main power source once a base outgrows what Powah's generators can supply.
