What Towers of the Wild: Reworked works with.
| Platform | Java Edition |
|---|---|
| Minecraft versions | 1.17, 1.17.1, 1.18.1 |
| Environment | Client, Server |
Towers of the Wild: Reworked scatters tall, Breath of the Wild-style towers across the world, each with a loot chest at the top. It runs as a plain datapack and must be present on the server.
Loaders and versions
- Fabric: Minecraft 1.17 to 1.18.1, builds stopped after September 2023. The newest build requires Fabric API, optionally Wraith Waystones; builds for 1.18 to 1.18.1 require Cloth Config API and Fabric API.
What the towers add
Towers generate at random, in several types, and the climb is purposely not easy. At the top you find a chest with loot and a good view. Every tower has its own advancement, so completionists get a reason to climb them all. It adds no blocks or items.
If a Waystones mod is active, a waystone can spawn on top of each tower. Install only one of the two supported waystone mods, never both.
Datapack variants
- Regular: works with vanilla and every mod loader, with no waystones.
- Wraith Waystones: adds waystone support for that mod.
- Waystones: adds support for Waystones.
How to install
- 1.Fabric route: put the mod file and its required dependencies from the list above in the mods folder, following the mod install guide.
- 2.Datapack route: put the Towers_Of_The_Wild zip in the datapacks folder of your world, under .minecraft/saves.
- 3.On a multiplayer setup, install it on the server. Joining players need nothing extra.
Questions about Towers of the Wild: Reworked.
3 questions
Do I need a mod loader to use Towers of the Wild: Reworked?
No. Since the 3.0.0 release it is also a vanilla datapack, so it works without any mod loader. The separate Fabric mod exists for 1.17 to 1.18.1 only. For anything newer, drop the datapack zip into your world's datapacks folder.
Does Towers of the Wild: Reworked need to be installed on the server?
Yes. The server must have it, because the towers generate with the world. Joining players do not need to install anything, so a multiplayer host can add the towers without asking everyone to change their setup.
Can I use Waystones with the towers?
Yes. Pick the datapack variant that matches your waystone mod, either Waystones or Wraith Waystones. Install only one of the two mods. The regular variant adds no waystones and works with vanilla and every mod loader.
