YUNG's Better Witch Huts replaces the vanilla witch hut with three redesigned hut variants and adds a new witch's circle structure to swamp biomes. It runs server-side only on Fabric, Forge, and NeoForge, and covers Minecraft Java Edition from 1.19.2 through the current 26.1.2 quarterly release on Fabric and NeoForge. Forge's newest build stops at 1.21.1, so Forge players are missing recent version support that Fabric and NeoForge already have.
What changes in swamp biomes
By default, vanilla witch huts stop spawning entirely and are replaced by the mod's three variants, which are larger and more detailed than the single vanilla design. A separate witch's circle, a stone platform rising out of the water, can also generate nearby. Loot is more meaningful than vanilla, and brewing stands found in huts sometimes hint at ingredients from real potion recipes. Players who want the original huts back can re-enable them in the config.
Installation
YUNG's Better Witch Huts requires YUNG's API installed on the same loader and version. Both JARs go in the mods folder. Because the mod is server-side, singleplayer works through the integrated server automatically, and a multiplayer server only needs the JARs on the server itself.
- 1.Download YUNG's Better Witch Huts from Modrinth, matching your loader (Fabric, Forge, or NeoForge) and Minecraft version.
- 2.Download YUNG's API for the same loader and version.
- 3.Place both JARs into your server's (or singleplayer instance's) mods folder.
- 4.Launch and explore a swamp biome that hasn't been chunk-loaded yet, or generate a new world.

Compatible with the rest of the YUNG's suite
YUNG's Better Witch Huts is built to run alongside the rest of YUNGNICKYOUNG's structure overhaul mods, including YUNG's Better Strongholds, YUNG's Better Mineshafts, YUNG's Better Desert Temples, and YUNG's Better Ocean Monuments. Each mod replaces one vanilla structure's generation without touching the others, so they can be installed together without conflicts.

Questions about YUNG's Better Witch Huts.
5 questions
How do I install YUNG's Better Witch Huts?
Download YUNG's Better Witch Huts and YUNG's API from Modrinth for the same loader and Minecraft version. Place both JARs in your mods folder. For servers, install them on the server only; clients do not need the mod. New huts appear in swamp chunks that haven't generated yet.
Does YUNG's Better Witch Huts work with Fabric, Forge, and NeoForge?
Yes, but not equally. Fabric and NeoForge both have current builds reaching Minecraft 26.1.2. Forge's most recent build only reaches 1.21.1, published in October 2024, so Forge players on newer Minecraft releases won't find a matching build.
Which Minecraft version does YUNG's Better Witch Huts support?
The project covers releases from 1.19.2 up to the current 26.1.2 quarterly release on Fabric and NeoForge. Forge support stops at 1.21.1. Always match the mod build and YUNG's API build to your loader and exact Minecraft version.
Does YUNG's Better Witch Huts work on multiplayer servers?
Yes. It is a server-side mod, so only the server needs it installed alongside YUNG's API. Players can join with a vanilla or differently modded client and still see the redesigned huts and witch's circle, since Minecraft's server-side structure generation handles that automatically.
Is YUNG's Better Witch Huts compatible with other YUNG's structure mods?
Yes. It's designed to run alongside YUNG's Better Strongholds, YUNG's Better Mineshafts, YUNG's Better Desert Temples, and YUNG's Better Ocean Monuments, since each mod only changes the generation of one vanilla structure and none of them touch the same worldgen code.
