Boosted FPS (Optimized Performance)

Boosted FPS (Optimized Performance) is a Bedrock resource pack that raises frame rates by cutting particles, fog, block animations and some sounds, while keeping a vanilla look. It targets low-end phones, tablets and PCs, and works in single-player and on Realms. It is Bedrock only, so there is no loader and nothing else to install.

Supported versions

  • Minecraft 26.40 to 26.50.

Two subpacks, two trade-offs

You pick one subpack from the pack list and can switch at any time. Low-memory devices automatically choose Pure FPS instead of the heavier option.

  • Pure FPS removes 177 of the 192 particle effects and pulls fog in close. It is the pick for the weakest hardware.
  • PvP + FPS removes only the 48 heaviest particle effects, so bubbles, boss fights and enchanting tables still look right. It adds long-distance fog, a numbered hotbar, a quick-craft button, a durability display and a more saturated colormap.
  • PvP + FPS also includes a low-shield style animation that keeps a held shield out of your view.

What changes visually

All 89 biomes in 26.50 get their own fog entry, and none of them add volumetric fog. Water, lava, portals, sea lanterns, campfires, cauldrons, kelp, seagrass and bubble columns become single-frame textures, so they stop animating. Fire keeps animating at half the vanilla frame count so it stays easy to spot. Rain audio is silenced, the vignette is gone, and enchantment names are coloured by type in all 29 languages.

Tap the gear icon on the pack to tune particles. Every control starts fully on, so nothing is cut until you change it. You get a Particle Amount slider plus toggles for potion effects, witch and evoker magic, arrow trails, cauldron effects, geysers, noxious gas, sulfur particles and experience orbs. Potion and spell particles are never removed outright because they carry gameplay information.

  4. 4.Activate the pack, tap it, choose Pure FPS or PvP + FPS, then adjust the gear controls.

Questions about Boosted FPS (Optimized Performance).

4 questions

Does Boosted FPS work with shaders?

No. The pack is built for performance and is not designed to run alongside shader packs. If you use other packs, place Boosted FPS below any pack whose visuals you want to keep. It overrides fog, particles and UI screens, which is why the order matters.

Should I choose Pure FPS or PvP + FPS?

Choose Pure FPS for the weakest devices and the highest frame rates, since it removes 177 of 192 particle effects. Choose PvP + FPS if you fight other players and want clear long-distance fog and combat HUD extras with a smaller performance gain.

Which devices does Boosted FPS support?

It supports Android, iOS and iPadOS, Windows 10 and 11, Xbox and PlayStation. It works in single-player, on Realms and in multiplayer. It is a Bedrock pack, so Java Edition cannot load it.

How do I install Boosted FPS on Bedrock?

Open the .mcpack file so Minecraft imports it, then activate it under Global Resources or a world's Resource Packs. Tap the pack to pick Pure FPS or PvP + FPS, and use the gear icon to adjust the particle controls.
