Aetheria Shaders is a fantasy shader pack for Java players, built as a custom visual edit of Complementary Reimagined. It runs on Iris and OptiFine and swaps the original's natural look for cosmic skies, glowing teal water and a reworked Nether. Haider_x made the edit, while the rendering systems belong to EminGT and the Complementary team.

Skies, water and the End
The Overworld gets dense twinkling stars, a magical aurora borealis and a custom sky palette. Rain brings a thick, moving fog that lingers after the weather clears. In the End, a swirling cosmic vortex fills the sky and a screen-space raymarched cloud tornado turns around the main island.
Water is wavy and teal-cyan, and at night it glows with a bioluminescent sheen that reflects moonlight. Underwater views stay clean, with custom fog and light colours. Wave distortion and caustics are switched off there on purpose, for clarity.
A reworked Nether
- Cosmic Nether fog in nebula colours that match each biome.
- Lava with detailed, multi-scale procedural wave movement and glowing block lights.
- A galaxy-themed Nether portal that swirls like a jump through space.
- Stardust ribbons, wispy glowing dust drifting through the air.
How to install Aetheria Shaders
- 1.Install Iris (on Fabric or NeoForge) or OptiFine. The shader install guide covers both.
- 2.Place Aetheria Shaders.zip in the shaderpacks folder.
- 3.Select it in the shader menu. With Iris, that is Video Settings > Shader Packs.

How do I install Aetheria Shaders?
Install Iris or OptiFine, then put Aetheria Shaders.zip in your shaderpacks folder. Launch Minecraft, open the shader menu (Video Settings > Shader Packs with Iris) and select the pack. It has no other dependencies listed for its newest files.
Does Aetheria Shaders work with Iris and OptiFine?
Yes. Both loaders are listed with the same file, so you can use whichever you already run. Iris runs on Fabric or NeoForge, while OptiFine is a separate mod. Neither loader works on Bedrock.
Is Aetheria Shaders the same as Complementary Reimagined?
No. It is a modified pack built on Complementary Reimagined by EminGT and the Complementary team. Haider_x changed the look, adding cosmic skies, teal water, a galaxy portal and an End tornado, while the core rendering stays the original authors' work.
Can I use Aetheria Shaders on Bedrock?
No. It is a Java shader pack that needs Iris or OptiFine, and neither of those mods runs on Bedrock. Bedrock uses a different pack format, so this zip will not load there.
