Karma Shader is a stylized shader pack for Java that runs on Iris and OptiFine. It trades heavy fog for voxel clouds, volumetric light shafts and reflective water, and it gives the Nether and the End their own atmospheres.

Effects
- Voxel clouds. Self-shadowed 3D clouds that melt into the horizon.
- Water. Two-tone turquoise with custom reflections and sun glare.
- God rays. Volumetric light shafts through trees and water, day and night.
- Waving foliage. Grass, crops and leaves sway with the wind.
Nether and End atmospheres
The Nether gets volumetric embers and warm lava vapors in place of fog. The End gets swirling space nebulae, twinkling auroras and shooting stars.
The look is stylized rather than strictly realistic, which suits players who want richer skies and water while the blocks stay recognisably vanilla.
Installation
- 1.Install Iris (on Fabric or NeoForge) or OptiFine.
- 2.Put the Karma Shader .zip in your shaderpacks folder.
- 3.Select Karma Shader in the loader's shader menu. In Iris, that menu is under Video Settings, then Shader Packs.

How do I install Karma Shader?
Install Iris on Fabric or NeoForge, or install OptiFine. Place the Karma Shader .zip in the shaderpacks folder, then select it in the loader's shader menu (in Iris, under Video Settings, then Shader Packs). The pack lists no further dependencies, so the shader loader is the only extra piece.
Does Karma Shader work with Iris and OptiFine?
Yes. The creator describes it as fully compatible with both, and the pack is listed for Iris and OptiFine across its whole supported range. You only need one of the two loaders, not both.
Does Karma Shader work on Bedrock?
No. It is a Java shader pack, and Iris and OptiFine are Java mods that Bedrock cannot run. Bedrock uses a different format for visual packs, so this file will not load there.
