The project is an alpha, and the author has stopped active development, so treat it as a finished experiment rather than an ongoing pack.
What Visual Vibrance changes in Minecraft
The pack adds screen-space reflections on water and wet-looking surfaces, softer shadows, and bloom, while keeping colors and lighting close to vanilla rather than pushing a stylized look. It was forked from the author's earlier pack, Glimmer, and rebuilt around the reflection and shadow work shown in the gallery above.
How this compares to Bedrock's Vibrant Visuals
Vibrant Visuals is Mojang's own rendering feature for Minecraft Bedrock Edition, an official ray-traced-style lighting and PBR (physically based rendering) system built into that edition of the game. Visual Vibrance is a separate, independent shader pack for Java Edition, made by a third-party developer using the Iris shader loader to chase a similar look. It is not Vibrant Visuals, it does not run on Bedrock, and it carries no Mojang or Microsoft involvement. Java players who want that PBR-style lighting have no official equivalent, so a shader like this is the closest unofficial substitute.
Installation and requirements

Known issues and current status
The one documented conflict is with the mod Chunks Fade In, which stops the shader from compiling because of assumptions it makes about shader behavior. Remove that mod if Visual Vibrance fails to load.
