Advanced Minimap is a Bedrock addon from ExterLeo that puts a live minimap in the corner of your screen, drawn from the blocks around you. Rivers, beaches, forests and cliffs get shading, water depth and tree tops. It runs on PC, mobile and console, needs no Experiments toggle, and stays friendly to Achievements.

What it adds
Beyond the corner map, every place you have explored is saved with your world and can be opened at any time. The addon is built around a handful of systems.
- Mob faces for over 90 mobs, each rendered from its real 3D model. The frame glows red when hostile mobs get close.
- Waypoints in six colours with custom names and an optional sky beam. Guide me draws a line to the chosen waypoint and counts down the distance.
- Automatic markers for your bed, your last death (with the path you took), friends' pings, villages, Nether portals and mob spawners.
- A cave mode that switches in underground and back out under open sky. One setting keeps it always on or never on.
- A square or round map in any screen corner, 24 frame themes (with separate picks for the Nether, the End and underwater), 7 plate styles, 3 detail levels, 5 zoom levels, and north-up or rotating view.
- Chunk lines and slime chunks at the press of a button.
How to install Advanced Minimap
- 1.Open the .mcaddon file with Bedrock so it imports. The add-on install guide covers each platform.
- 2.Turn the add-on on for your world in the world's settings.
- 3.Join the world. You receive the Cartographer's Compass the first time, and a new one crafts from a compass and paper.
- 4.Use the compass to open the menu. Sneak and use it to open the world map. On mobile, hold the compass and tap Open Map.
Multiplayer and performance
Friends appear with their names under their faces, and waypoints can be shared with everyone or kept private. World hosts get Admin Limits to cap graphics, detail and update rates for every player, and to switch any feature off for the whole world. Players choose between Performance, Balanced and Quality presets, plus four graphics levels.

How do I install Advanced Minimap on Bedrock?
Open the .mcaddon file with Bedrock so it imports, then turn the add-on on for your world in the world's settings. On Windows you double-click the file, and on phones and tablets you open it with Bedrock. Join the world and the Cartographer's Compass is given to you.
Does Advanced Minimap need experimental toggles?
No. The addon does not require any Experiments to be turned on, and it stays friendly to Achievements. The world map, waypoints, mob faces and cave mode all work without those toggles, so you can add the minimap to a world without changing its experimental settings.
How do I open the world map?
Sneak and use the Cartographer's Compass to open the world map. On mobile, hold the compass and tap Open Map. If you lost the compass, craft a new one from a compass and paper.
