Biomes & Beyond is a Bedrock addon by iKorbon that expands world generation with new biomes, mobs, blocks and craftable items. It is the successor to Expansive Biomes and aims to stay semi-vanilla in feel.
Supported versions
- Minecraft 1.21.100 to 26.10.
What it adds
The biome list runs from gentle terrain such as Aspen Forest, Lavender Fields, Prairie, Clover Field and Autumn Woods to darker ones such as Boggy Swamplands, Depraved Wetlands, Twilight Grove and the deep-cave Forsaken Depths. Chorus Forest and Velvium Expanse are on the list too, and the creator says more biomes remain to be found.
- Deer, which avoid players and villagers, drop venison and antlers, and breed with carrots. A rare white deer can drop a trophy.
- Grizzly bears, raccoons (nocturnal, tameable with bread, repelled by carved pumpkins) and crocodiles that hunt in water.
- Warthogs in the Savanna that can be saddled and ridden with a carrot on a stick, and turn into Hoglins if they linger in the Nether.
- Forsaken Depths horrors: Dwellers, Lurkers and Spectres. Dwellers spawn between levels -63 and 8 and hate fire, so torches, campfires and lanterns keep them back.
- Enderman variants such as the Voidcaller, Sigiling and Hollowmen, plus mummies.
How to install Biomes & Beyond
Download the .mcaddon from CurseForge and open it with Bedrock, which imports it automatically. Then switch on its behavior and resource packs in the settings of each world where you want it. Trade-offs
This is a broad content addon, so it changes what spawns and generates in new worlds, and the dark Forsaken Depths mobs make cave exploration riskier. It is Bedrock only.

How do I install Biomes & Beyond on Bedrock?

Does Biomes & Beyond work on Java Edition?
No. It is a Bedrock Edition addon distributed as a .mcaddon, and Java Edition cannot load that format.
