Dragon Mounts 2 is a Bedrock addon from Tomanex and the Dragon Mounts Team that turns dragon eggs into hatchable, tameable, rideable pets. It adds 17 dragon breeds, dragon gear and nest blocks, and it needs no experimental toggles. The addon works on Realms and servers.
Supported versions
- Minecraft 26.30.
What it adds
Eggs generate in new structures in the Overworld, the Nether and the End. Hatch one and you get a dragon, from Fire and Ice to Sculk, Wither and Aether breeds. The addon leans toward an RPG adventure style rather than the leaner original Dragon Mounts.
- Dragon Amulets are used by hitting a tamed dragon with one.
- Dragon Flutes bind to a dragon so you can teleport it to you.
- Dragon Scepters (2 Blaze Rods and 1 Emerald) trigger attacks while you ride.
- Variant Orbs change the variant of a tamed dragon.
- Diamond and Netherite Shears let you shear your dragons.
- Dragon Nest blocks decorate stables, and Essence Gems revive a fallen dragon at Dragon Cores, but only as a baby.
Hatching, taming and riding
- 1.Interact with an egg until particles appear. Incubation takes about 20 minutes.
- 2.To switch breeds, place the egg above certain blocks. This takes about 5 minutes.
- 3.Tame the hatched dragon with raw fish (not pufferfish), then ride it and open its inventory.
- 4.Press jump to fly and steer with the arrow keys.
Installation
Download from the CurseForge link, open the file with Bedrock, then enable its behavior and resource packs in the world settings. The steps are in how to install add-ons on Bedrock. If the dragons do not appear, work through fixing add-ons that do not work.
A separate Java release of Dragon Mounts 2 exists on CurseForge; this page covers the Bedrock addon only.
