Dynamic Paintings is a Bedrock addon that turns painting into a built-in craft. You draw on a 16x16 canvas, save the result and place it in a frame anywhere in your world. It is Bedrock only, needs no experimental toggles and carries the Achievement Friendly label in its name.

Supported versions

  • Minecraft 1.21.130 to 26.0.

What it adds

The centrepiece is the Artistic Table. Craft it early, because the recipe book on the table lists how to make every other item in the addon. All blocks and items can be obtained in survival mode.

  • A 16x16 canvas for any painting you can imagine.
  • A colour selector with a palette, HSV and hexadecimal input, covering over 16 million colours.
  • Custom palettes for saving your favourite colours.
  • Brush, paint bucket and eyedropper tools.
  • A Guide Book that explains the mechanics and opens a settings menu.

Showing your work

Paintings can be saved and placed wherever you like. Hang one in a frame and every player who looks at it sees the painting's name and who made it. The addon also supports Vibrant Visuals and does not use player.json.

How to install Dynamic Paintings

  1. 1.Open the add-on file with Bedrock so it imports (double-click on Windows, open with Minecraft on phones and tablets).
  2. 2.Create or edit a world and switch the addon's packs on in the world settings.
  3. 3.Load in, craft an Artistic Table and read the Guide Book.

If the import fails or the packs do not appear, work through the install guide or the add-ons not working fix.

Questions about Dynamic Paintings.

4 questions

How do I install Dynamic Paintings on Bedrock?

Open the add-on file with Bedrock so it imports. On Windows that means a double-click, and on phones and tablets you open it with Minecraft. Then edit your world, switch the addon's packs on in the world settings, and load in. Craft an Artistic Table to begin.

Does Dynamic Paintings need experimental toggles?

No. The creator states that the addon does not require any experimental features, so you can leave the Experiments toggles off. It also does not use player.json.

Can I get the items in survival mode?

Yes. Every block and item in the addon is obtainable in survival. Craft the Artistic Table first, then use the recipe book on that table to see how to make the rest.

Will Dynamic Paintings slow down my device?

It can on weaker hardware. The creator warns that placing too many paintings at once in loaded chunks may cause slowdowns. Keeping the number of paintings near you modest is the practical fix.
