Seasonala is a seasons addon for Minecraft Bedrock Edition by areedelahi. Summer, autumn, winter and spring each last 28 in-game days, and each one changes crop growth, weather, fog and sky colour. It uses no experimental toggles, so it keeps working after game updates, and it is compatible with Vibrant Visuals.

Supported versions

  • Minecraft 26.0 to 26.20.

What it adds

  • Layered snow that piles up on roofs and terrain during winter storms, then melts when spring arrives.
  • Spring flowers that bloom across the world and disappear when the season ends. Flowers you placed yourself stay.
  • Fog and sky colours set per biome, shifting with each season.
  • Crop growth that rises and falls with temperature and season.
  • Weather that varies by biome, from tropical monsoons to arctic blizzards.
  • Years that never repeat. Storm odds and temperature shifts change every in-game year, so a harsh winter can be followed by a mild one.

Biomes behave differently. Jungles and mangrove swamps never see snow, and spring monsoons suit their crops. Deserts and badlands get dust storms in autumn, and winter is their strongest growing season. Snowy biomes get blizzards with a 70% snow chance, and crops do not grow there in winter. Mountains can see snow even in spring or summer. Fog and many other options can be switched with in-game commands.

Almanac and guide book

The Seasonala Almanac is crafted from 3 paper, 1 book and 1 clock. Using it opens a screen with the current season and year, days remaining, biome, temperature, forecast and active effects. The in-game guide book takes 1 amethyst shard surrounded by 8 leather, and it explains the commands.

Seasonal leaf tint

Leaves can slowly change tint as seasons turn, dull in winter and vibrant green in spring. Spruce, jungle and other evergreen trees are left alone.

Installation

Open the downloaded pack file with Minecraft to import it, then switch on its behavior and resource packs in your world settings. The install guide for Bedrock add-ons covers manual folder installs.

Questions about Seasonala.

4 questions

Does Seasonala need experimental toggles?

No. The addon does not use experiments, so you do not need to switch any Experiments toggles on in the world settings. The creator states this also means it should keep working after game updates.

How long does each season last in Seasonala?

Each of the four seasons, summer, autumn, winter and spring, lasts 28 in-game days. Weather patterns, temperatures and storm odds also vary from one in-game year to the next, so no two years repeat.

How do I install Seasonala on Bedrock?

Download the pack from CurseForge and open it with Minecraft so it imports. Then enable its behavior pack and resource pack in the settings of the world where you want seasons. Java Edition cannot load it.

What happens to leaves if I remove Seasonala?

If you enabled the optional leaf tint feature, the addon replaces leaves in your world, and removing the addon makes those leaves vanish. Disabling the feature in-game first reverts them, but only in areas you revisit.
