Experiment 8 is a horror addon for Minecraft Bedrock that turns a survival world into a parasite infestation. It is Bedrock only and ships as a single .mcaddon file. VirtualBlack8 and DodoFilms made it, and the creator page lists no other packs or experimental toggles as requirements.
Supported versions
- Minecraft 26.30.
What it adds
The parasites are slow and die in one hit, but a touch from one kills you. They spawn naturally at night, stay harmless in the dark and turn aggressive in light. Their nests are meat eggs that now appear only in the new Tissue biome, a landscape of living flesh and infected growths. Nests can also grow from pigs the parasites attack, and ignoring them lets the infestation spiral.
- Corruptor: spawns only when an Infected Human dies, then actively searches for compatible hosts to infect and mutate.
- Infected Iron Golem: a mini boss that appears when a Corruptor infects an Iron Golem, delivers extremely powerful blows and can grab victims and throw them for massive damage.
- Infester: spreads infection to the blocks beneath it, ignores light and is not aggressive.
- Snitcher: stays calm until it spots you, then lights the area and screams to alert other infected.
- Infected Witch: throws corrupted potions from range and strengthens nearby infected.
- Infected Mooshroom: behaves like an infected cow, but is rare because of the biome it lives in.

3 questions
How do I install Experiment 8 on Bedrock?
Download the Experiment-8[Addon].mcaddon file from CurseForge and open it with Minecraft Bedrock, which imports it automatically. Then create or edit a world and turn the addon on in the world settings. Java Edition cannot load this file.
Does Experiment 8 need experimental toggles?
The newest file lists no requirements, so no experimental toggle is named for it. If something fails to appear, make sure the addon is switched on for the world you are playing.
Which Minecraft release does Experiment 8 support?
The only file listed is built for Minecraft 26.30 on Bedrock Edition. It was last updated in July 2026. Other releases are not listed, so expect problems if your game differs from that.
