Fungus Hazard is a Minecraft Bedrock addon by PocCorn_Code that adds a phased infection, inspired by the infectious agent in The Last of Us. It runs on Bedrock only, so Java cannot load it.
Supported versions
- Minecraft 26.30 to 26.40.
What it adds
The addon models infection as a series of stages. The creator points to the Java mod Scape and Run: Parasites as the reference, with vanilla touches, a more realistic style and no incoherent life forms.
How the infection plays
In phase 0 the infected run away from the player, which gives you time to gear up. Soil propagation starts from phase 2. Listed categories are horror, survival, multiplayer and armor, tools and weapons.
Installation
Open the downloaded file with Minecraft and it imports on its own. Then switch on the behavior and resource packs it includes in the settings of each world you want to use. The add-on install guide covers the steps, including manual folders on Windows.

Questions about Fungus Hazard.
4 questions
How do I install Fungus Hazard on Bedrock?
Open the downloaded add-on file with Minecraft and it imports automatically. Create or edit a world, then turn on the behavior and resource packs it includes under the pack settings. On Windows you can also place the pack folders in the com.mojang behavior_packs and resource_packs folders.
Does Fungus Hazard work on Java Edition?
No. It is a Bedrock add-on, and Java cannot load that format. The creator names the Java mod Scape and Run: Parasites as the inspiration, so Java players looking for a similar infection should start with that project instead.
Does Fungus Hazard add guns or modern weapons?
No. The creator states there is no option to add modern weapons. The addon concentrates on the spread of the infection, while keeping vanilla touches and a more realistic style.
What happens in phase 0 of the infection?
During phase 0 the infected run away from the player, which gives you a chance to gear up. Soil propagation only begins from phase 2, so the early stages are the safest time to prepare before the terrain starts changing.
