MorphX is a morph addon for Bedrock that lets you take the shape of a mob, machine or fantasy creature, along with its animations, hitbox, movement and signature ability. It ships as one .mcaddon file and works on Bedrock only, since Java cannot load add-ons. The latest update, V1.1.2, is called the Power Update.
Supported versions
- Minecraft 1.21 to 26.50. The newest build optionally uses Night Vision Helmet and Round Nature.
What it adds
The roster runs to dozens of morphs. Vanilla picks include Warden, Wither, Enderman, Creeper and Allay. Tech entries include Mech Ravager, Robot and Speedboat. Fantasy and animal entries include Werewolf, Goblin, Charizard, Narwhal and Crocodile. Morphs are unlocked with the Soul Stone, and the Power Update adds Spider, Blaze, Phantom and Dolphin as playable forms.
How abilities work
Powers fire in two ways. Dedicated items cover mobs such as Creeper, Enderman, Drowned, Ghast, Goat, Pig, Cow and Chicken. The Power Crystal covers Warden, Wither, Spider, Blaze, Phantom, Vex and more. A few morphs are passive.
- Creeper Blast: a controlled explosion with heavy area damage and knockback that does not kill you.
- Enderman: unlimited Ender Pearls for teleporting, with no fall damage.
- Warden Sonic Boom: a frontal shockwave with piercing damage.
- Phantom Glide: Slow Falling and boosted flight speed for 8 seconds.
- Passive morphs: Iron Golem has permanent Strength, Slime permanent Jump Boost, and Cat moves faster than a normal player.
Cooldown timers appear on the action bar. Switching morphs clears the old ability items and equips the new set automatically.
Installation
Open MorphX_V1.1.2.mcaddon with Bedrock to import it, then turn the add-on on for your world in the world settings. The steps are covered in how to install add-ons on Bedrock, and if the add-on does not appear, try fixing add-ons that will not work. No experimental toggles are named for MorphX.
Questions about MorphX.
4 questions
How do I install MorphX on Bedrock?
Open the MorphX .mcaddon file with Bedrock and it imports on its own, by double-click on Windows or open-with on phones and tablets. Then create or edit a world and turn the add-on on in its world settings before loading in. No experimental toggles are named for MorphX.
How do I unlock morphs in MorphX?
Morphs are unlocked with the Soul Stone. The roster includes vanilla mobs, mechs, fantasy creatures and aquatic animals, and the Power Update added Spider, Blaze, Phantom and Dolphin as playable forms. Changing morphs automatically cleanses old ability items and equips the new toolkit instantly.
How do MorphX abilities get triggered?
There are two routes. Some morphs, such as Creeper, Enderman and Ghast, use dedicated ability items that you tap. Others, such as Warden, Wither and Phantom, use the Power Crystal. Passive morphs like Iron Golem and Slime need no activation, and cooldown timers show on the action bar.
Does MorphX work on Java Edition?
No. MorphX is a Bedrock add-on delivered as an .mcaddon file, and Java cannot load add-ons. Java players need a separate mod built for their own loader, which is a different kind of project from this one.
