Realistic Survival is a Bedrock addon from ZorroCraft that adds thirst, body temperature and stamina to vanilla survival. It is a realistic survival addon where going without water brings Weakness and then death. It is for Bedrock only.
Supported versions
- Minecraft 1.21.80 to 26.50.
What it adds
- Thirst, with unpurified and purified bottles. Ignore it and you get Weakness, then death.
- Body temperature, shown by an animated icon with sound, plus effects when it climbs or drops.
- A sweet drink that lowers temperature and a pumpkin drink that raises it. Both also help thirst and saturation.
- A Portable Heater for cold biomes and a Cooling Device for extreme heat, plus an inventory cooler and warmer. Overusing them pushes you too high or too low.
- A stamina system. Running too much causes Weakness and Nausea, and stamina grows with continued running while applying Slowness.
- Health recovery after sleeping.
Water, bottles and the canteen
Fill a glass bottle from water and you get an unpurified bottle that poisons you. Cook it in a furnace or on a campfire and it becomes purified, with no harm. Unpurified bottles also craft with any potion and work like a water bottle for an awkward potion. You can drink straight from water by crouching with an empty hand and clicking an underwater block, at the cost of negative effects.
The canteen is a leather bag for carrying water. Stand in water and tap to fill it, then set it on a campfire to make the water drinkable. When it is nearly broken, recraft it into an empty canteen.

Questions about Realistic Survival.
5 questions
How do I install Realistic Survival on Bedrock?
Open the .mcaddon file with Bedrock so it imports. Then add both the behavior pack and the resource pack to your world, turn on all experimental features in the world settings, and load the world.
Does Realistic Survival need experimental toggles?
Yes. The creator's setup steps say to add the resource and behavior packs, then activate all experimental features before playing.
Which Bedrock versions does Realistic Survival support?
The newest file, RSurvivalV6.7.mcaddon, covers 1.21.80 to 26.50 and requires no other pack. It was published on 2026-10-14, and the addon is Bedrock only, so Java Edition cannot load it.
How do I make water safe to drink in Realistic Survival?
Fill a glass bottle from water to get an unpurified bottle, then cook it in a furnace or on a campfire to purify it. Purified water causes no harm. Unpurified water poisons you, and canteens are purified on a campfire as well.
What happens if I stop drinking in Realistic Survival?
You get the Weakness effect first, and if you keep ignoring thirst you will be killed. Sweet and pumpkin drinks also help thirst and saturation while shifting your body temperature down or up.
