XenoCraft the Return is a Bedrock addon by KaelusKrieg that fills the world with Xenomorphs that build hives, evolve and infect prey. The newest release ships as a single .mcaddon file and needs no experimental features or dependency packs.

Supported versions

  • Minecraft 26.0 to 26.30.

What it adds

Hives grow on their own. An Ovomorph infects nearby prey, a Chestburster hatches and matures into a Drone, and Drones build the hive. With enough population the colony produces Warriors, Praetorians and finally a Queen that sits on her Ovipositor and lays more eggs. Hives can form in the Nether and the End as well.

  • Runners that spawn from animals, with Sentries and Crushers as their evolution line.
  • Royal Jelly from evolved Xenomorphs, which speeds up crops, multiplies drops and crafts the Xeno Zip potion.
  • Chitin drops, used with diamond armor to craft new equipment.
  • Pathogen ampules from buried primordial structures, used for the Pathogen Bucket and mutated creatures such as Pathogen Poppers.
  • New structures with guns and tools as loot, including underground hives and new Nether builds.

4 questions

How do I install XenoCraft the Return on Bedrock?

Open the .mcaddon file with Minecraft so it imports, then switch on both the behavior pack and the resource pack in the settings of a new or existing world. Our install guide covers manual folder placement on Windows if the import fails.

Does XenoCraft the Return need experimental toggles?

No. The addon requires no experimental features, only an up-to-date Bedrock install. Leave the Experiments toggles off unless another pack you use asks for them. The newest release also lists no required dependency packs, so the single .mcaddon file is all you import.

How do I stop Xenomorphs from evolving?

Naming a Xenomorph freezes it at its current evolution stage, so a Drone stays a Drone and a Warrior stays a Warrior. Royal Jelly does the opposite and speeds evolution up. It drops from Xenomorphs that have already evolved at least one stage.

How do I turn off acid blood in XenoCraft the Return?

Run the command /scriptevent xenos:toggle_acid in your world to disable acid blood. Xenomorph acid corrodes most blocks, but hive blocks, polished iron, netherite, diamond, emerald, bedrock, obsidian, reinforced deepslate and command blocks resist it.
