New Backrooms is a Bedrock addon that turns the Backrooms creepypasta into a survival horror loop inside a normal world. It is Bedrock only and uses no loader. The newest release is a single .mcaddon file with no listed dependencies, so one import covers the whole thing.

What it adds
The core is Level 0. The addon adds its key textures: rug, wallpaper, wallpaper with baseboard, wallpaper with socket, ceiling and lamp. To get there, find a glitch block and step on it. You land in endless corridors.
- Essence, a Level 0 monster with 1000 HP. It attacks with a screamer, can crouch through a two-block gap and runs very fast.
- A cabinet you hide in by clicking it, and leave by clicking its bottom. Hiding in front of the Essence lets it grab you.
- Pills that help you survive.
- A level with pools, two more entities, a fix for Bacteria spawning and a new texture for the broken block, all from the latest update.
Sound is the warning system. The Essence's movement tells you how close it is, so you can reach a cabinet in time.

How do I install New Backrooms on Bedrock?
Open the .mcaddon file with Minecraft Bedrock and it imports on its own. Then create or edit a world and turn on the addon's behavior pack and resource pack in the world settings. On Windows you can also place the pack folders by hand under the com.mojang folder.
How do I get away from the Essence?
Hide in a cabinet before it reaches you by clicking the cabinet, and leave by clicking its bottom. Hiding while the Essence is looking at you does not work, so listen for its movement and move early.
Does New Backrooms work on Java Edition?
No. It is a Bedrock addon, and Java cannot load add-on files. Java players need a mod made for Java instead.
How do I reach the Backrooms in this addon?
