Minecraft: Story Mode is a Forge modpack for Minecraft Java that borrows the look and items of Telltale's Story Mode series. It is an adventure and combat pack built around Cracker's Wither Storm Mod, and the creator's challenge is simple: are you ready to take on that battle? It is required on both sides, so singleplayer and multiplayer use the same pack.

What's included
The series flavour comes from Xg's Story Mode Items, Armor and More, plus a custom resource pack that changes some text. Cracker's Wither Storm Mod ships with its V-Sides soundtrack add-on. Around that core sits a long mod list, and the main groups are below.
- Combat and mobs: Better Combat and Alex's Mobs, with Citadel, Alexs Mobs Interaction, Do a Barrel Roll and Better Third Person also listed.
- Machines and building: Create with Steam 'n' Rails, Connected, Slice & Dice, Enchantment Industry, Trimmed and Copycats+, plus Rechiseled and Farmer's Delight.
- Interface and utility: AppleSkin, BetterF3, Jade, Just Enough Items, Xaero's World Map and Minimap, Mouse Tweaks and Simple Voice Chat.
- Storage: Sophisticated Backpacks, ShulkerBoxTooltip and Simple Inventory Sorter.
- Performance and rendering: Embeddium, Oculus, ModernFix, Ferrite Core, EntityCulling and Memory Leak Fix.
Visuals are covered too. Fresh Animations and Redstone Tweaks arrive as resource packs, and five shaders are preinstalled: Complementary Reimagined, BSL, Solas, Super Duper Vanilla and Insanity.
Installation
The easiest route is a launcher that reads Modrinth packs, which fetches the mods and Forge for you. For a walkthrough, see how to install a modpack from Modrinth.
- 1.Open a launcher such as Prism and add a new instance.
- 2.Choose the Modrinth tab, find Minecraft: Story Mode and install it.
- 3.Launch the instance.
If Java causes trouble, open the instance settings, go to Java, use auto detect and pick the Java runtime it offers. Without a launcher, install Forge yourself, open your .minecraft folder and place the pack files in their matching folders.
