Remarkably Optimized is a client-side Fabric modpack for Minecraft Java that replaces a long manual mod list with a single install. A modpack is a bundle of mods with the loader and configuration already arranged, so you import one file instead of matching 27 downloads by hand. The current release, 1.15.57 from 28 August 2026, targets Minecraft 26.2, and the project keeps parallel builds going back to 1.16.5.

What is inside the Remarkably Optimized modpack

The current build lists 27 mods. The core is the familiar Fabric performance stack, Sodium for rendering, Lithium for game logic, FerriteCore for memory use, alongside Entity Culling, More Culling, ImmediatelyFast, ModernFix-mVUS and Concurrent Chunk Management Engine. On top of that sit the extras players usually bolt on themselves, Iris Shaders for shader packs, Continuity for connected textures, Zoomify for a zoom key, and Mod Menu with Cloth Config and YetAnotherConfigLib so the settings are reachable in game.

  • Loader: Fabric only, with no Forge, NeoForge, or Quilt builds
  • Side: client-side pack, marked unsupported for server installs on the Modrinth project
  • Minecraft versions: parallel builds from 1.16.5 through 26.2, one download per version
  • Current release: 1.15.57, published 28 August 2026
  • Download: a .mrpack profile from the Modrinth project page
  • License: MIT, with the pack file linked at the source rather than mirrored here

How to install this Minecraft FPS modpack

The download is a .mrpack profile, which is a small index rather than the mods themselves. Your launcher reads it and fetches each listed mod during install, which is why the file itself is only a few kilobytes. Our guide on how to install a Minecraft modpack covers the launcher side in more detail.

  1. 1.Install a launcher that reads .mrpack profiles, such as the Modrinth App or Prism Launcher.
  2. 2.Download the build that matches the Minecraft version you play. Each game version has its own file on the project page.
  3. 3.Import the .mrpack and let the launcher pull the Fabric loader and the 27 listed mods.
  4. 4.Start the new profile once on its own before adding your own shader packs or resource packs on top.

Who it fits and who should skip it

This one suits players who want speed and the OptiFine-style extras arranged together, without assembling 27 mods by hand. The mod list is mid-sized on purpose. Fabulously Optimized carries around 51 mods and reaches further into quality-of-life territory, while Simply Optimized & Up to Date trims to 18, leaves shaders out, and runs on a server as well as a client.

Skip it if you play Bedrock Edition, because a Fabric pack never runs there, or if your setup needs Forge or NeoForge, because this project ships Fabric builds only. Skip it too if you expected new blocks, mobs, biomes, or quests. A performance pack changes how the game runs, not what is in it. We do not benchmark, so read any frame-rate figure quoted elsewhere as the creator's claim rather than a result promised for your hardware.

Questions about Remarkably Optimized.

5 questions

How do I install Remarkably Optimized?

Download the .mrpack build for your Minecraft version from the Modrinth project page, then import it into a launcher that reads that format, such as the Modrinth App or Prism Launcher. The launcher installs the Fabric loader and pulls the 27 listed mods for you. Start the new profile once before adding shader packs or resource packs on top.

Does Remarkably Optimized change Minecraft gameplay?

No. It adds no blocks, mobs, biomes, recipes, or quests. What changes is the client side of the game. You get shader support through Iris, connected textures, a zoom key, an in-game settings menu for every included mod, and a resource pack browser. The mods run on the client, so the pack does not add content to your world.

How is Remarkably Optimized different from Fabulously Optimized and Simply Optimized?

Mostly scope. All three build on the same Fabric performance core, Sodium and Lithium included, so what separates them is how much else comes along. Remarkably Optimized ships 27 mods. Fabulously Optimized ships around 51 and goes further into quality-of-life features. Simply Optimized & Up to Date ships 18, leaves shaders out, and can run server-side. We do not benchmark, so choose on feature set rather than a claimed frame rate.

Which Minecraft versions does Remarkably Optimized support?

The project keeps parallel builds from 1.16.5 through 26.2, so an older version is usually still covered instead of dropped. Release 1.15.57, published on 28 August 2026, is the current build and targets 26.2. Every Minecraft version has its own download on the project page, so pick the file matching the version you actually play.

Can I use Remarkably Optimized on a Minecraft server?

Not as a server install. The Modrinth project marks server support as unsupported, so this is a client profile you run in your own launcher. You can join multiplayer while running it, but each server decides which client mods it allows, so read the server rules before you connect with any modded client.
