Armor Statues is an armor statues mod for Fabric and NeoForge that turns the armor stand into a fully editable object. It is required on the client and optional on the server.
Loaders and versions
- Fabric: Minecraft 1.19.2 to 26.3. The newest build requires Fabric API, Puzzles Lib and Forge Config API Port.
- NeoForge: Minecraft 1.20.4 to 26.3. The newest build requires Puzzles Lib.
- Forge: Minecraft 1.19.2 to 1.20.4, builds stopped after April 2024. The newest build requires Puzzles Lib and Forge Config API Port, optionally Forge Config Screens; builds for 1.19.2 to 1.20.1 require Puzzles Lib.
What you can edit
- Arms: unlock the stand's arms.
- Rotations: turn every single body part of the stand on its own.
- Poses: select from a set of built-in poses.
- Style: adjust various style settings, including making the stand invisible.
- Positioning: use dedicated tools to place the stand, with an alignments screen to help.
Make the stand invisible and it becomes a plain item display, which is the mod's cleanest trick for builders.
Playing on vanilla servers
A server does not need the mod. Armor Statues sends vanilla commands in the background, so operators can skip the data pack entirely. On servers that already run the Vanilla Tweaks Armor Statues data pack, the mod can replace the book that controls it. Enable the use_vanilla_tweaks_triggers config option by hand to switch that on.
Installation and configuration
Place the mod and its required libraries in the mods folder, then start the game with the matching loader profile. The mod install guide covers the steps. Settings live in the in-game config screen, which needs Mod Menu on Fabric, or in text files under .minecraft/config.
The mod credits the Vanilla Tweaks team for the data pack that inspired it and for values behind the alignments screen and many poses. The rotations screen builds on AUTOMATIC_MAIDEN's Statues mod, and the icons come from Finalbossblues.
Questions about Armor Statues.
4 questions
Does Armor Statues work on multiplayer servers?
Yes. The mod only has to be installed on your client. When a server lacks it, Armor Statues sends vanilla commands in the background, so operators do not need to add anything. Installing it on the server is optional.
Can Armor Statues replace the Vanilla Tweaks armor stand book?
Yes, on servers that run the Vanilla Tweaks Armor Statues data pack. With the mod on your client, it can stand in for the book. You must enable the use_vanilla_tweaks_triggers config option manually first.
Which loaders does Armor Statues support?
Current builds exist for Fabric and NeoForge. Forge builds also exist, but they stopped at Minecraft 1.20.4. Each loader needs its own required libraries, which are listed in the loaders section above.
Can I make an armor stand invisible with this mod?
Yes. Invisibility is one of the style settings you can adjust. An invisible stand can be used purely to display items in your world, which makes it handy for builds.
