Create Bits 'n' Bobs is an add-on from AzTech that brings small mechanical and decorative pieces built to sit alongside Create. It runs on NeoForge and Forge and must be installed on both sides, so players and hosts need the same files. Individual features can be switched off in the config.
Loaders and versions
- NeoForge: Minecraft 1.21.1. The newest build requires Create, Azimuth API and Strut Your Stuff (Struts); some builds for 1.21.1 require Create.
- Forge: Minecraft 1.20.1. The newest build requires Create.
What it adds
The mechanical side centres on cogwheel chain drives, a kinetic transfer option that works with Create's cogwheels and many add-ons. Flanged cogwheels let a chain drive use other materials such as belts or ropes, and a chain carriage attaches contraptions to a drive. The flywheel bearing rotates a contraption smoothly based on its mass, and a config option turns it into a kinetic battery. The chain pulley is a rope pulley variant that uses a chain.
Decoration is the other half of the mod.
- Cable, girder and weathered girder struts that span point to point.
- Dyeable, dynamic chairs.
- A larger Nixie tube and Nixie board with an ornate custom font.
- Tile block palettes for stone types.
- Industrial truss, grating panel and grating block. The truss can also encase pipes or shafts.
- Headlamps and lightbulbs, with several headlamps per block, each dyed individually.
Smaller tweaks round it out. Wooden cogwheels can swap wood types, including cogwheels from other add-ons. Fluid pipes and tanks can be dyed, and pipes of different colours ignore each other. The extension mod Bits 'n' Dyes stretches dyeing to all fluid components. Piston poles can be encased, and industrial iron and weathered iron work as encasings.
Installing and what to expect
Place the mod file and its required libraries in the mods folder on every machine that runs the world, then launch with the matching loader profile. If you have no loader yet, the Forge and NeoForge setup guide covers it. This is an add-on, so it does nothing without Create.
