Create Goggles adds goggle helmets that keep vanilla armor stats, plus armored backtanks, for the Create mod. It runs on NeoForge, Fabric and Forge. Both sides need it, so a multiplayer host and its players all install the same mod.
Loaders and versions
- NeoForge: Minecraft 1.21.1. The newest build requires Create and Architectury API, optionally Mekanism.
- Fabric: Minecraft 1.18.2 to 1.20.1. The newest build requires Create Fabric and Architectury API.

Crafting a goggle helmet
Two recipes cover it. A shapeless recipe combines a vanilla or Create helmet with goggles. A smithing recipe takes any helmet plus goggles and returns the same helmet with data attached, so it works as a goggle helmet. That is the point of the mod: full netherite armor, goggle readouts and a backtank at once. Tooltip readouts work from 1.18 onward.
- Shapeless helmets are removed by crushing them in a Create crusher.
- Smithing-upgraded helmets are reverted by combining them with the Modifier Remover at a smithing table. It is crafted like shears, but with brass.
Installing it
- 1.Set up the loader that matches your pack with the help of the Forge and NeoForge guide or the Fabric equivalent.
- 2.Place the mod file and the required dependencies listed above in the mods folder.
- 3.Launch with the loader's profile.
Extras and trade-offs
Modders can mark their own helmets as goggles with a tag file at data/creategoggles/tags/items/goggle.json. They can also add a recipe of type creategoggles:crafting_nbt. Both are available from 0.5.1.
