Create: Let The Adventure Begin is an add-on for Create that adds naturally generating structures built around Create's own machines. It ships for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, plus as a plain datapack, and it is required on the server while optional on the client.

Loaders and versions

  • Fabric: Minecraft 1.20 to 1.21.1. The newest build needs no dependencies.
  • Forge, NeoForge and Quilt: Minecraft 1.20.1 to 1.21.1. The newest build needs no dependencies.

What it adds

The aim is to make exploring more rewarding for players who live in Create. Structures generate on their own in the world, and many double as demonstrations of what the mod can do. The rare windmill is the example NotJuno points to: it shows off sails and windmill bearings in a working setup, so it can kickstart a Create run.

Two ways to install

  1. 1.Mod route: pick the file for your loader and Minecraft release, put it in the mods folder, and launch with that loader's profile. Setup guides cover Fabric, Forge and NeoForge and the general mod steps.
  2. 2.Datapack route: the project also publishes a plain datapack.
  3. 3.On a multiplayer world, install it on the server. Players can join without it on their own machines.

Trade-offs

The newest release lists no required dependencies, but the content is built around Create, so it makes sense only in a world where Create is installed. Because it is required on the server, every multiplayer world that wants the structures must install it there, while players joining can skip it.

Questions about Create: Let The Adventure Begin.

Both. It is published with loader builds for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, and also as a plain datapack. It is an add-on for Create that adds naturally generating structures to the world. The newest release of the datapack and of each loader is 4.1.0, and none lists required dependencies.

Does it need to be installed on the server?

Yes. The mod is required on the server and optional on the client, so players can join a server running it without adding anything on their own machines. Put it in the mods folder of the server, using the build that matches the server's loader and Minecraft release.

Does it work without the Create mod?

It is an add-on for Create, and its structures showcase Create's machines. The newest release lists no required dependencies, but the content is built around Create, so install Create alongside it for the full experience.
