Create: Power Loader is a Create add-on that adds andesite and brass chunk loaders, placed on the ground, mounted on trains or carried on contraptions. It targets NeoForge and Forge, though Forge has stopped receiving updates. It must be installed on both sides, on the player's end and on the host.
Loaders and versions
- NeoForge: Minecraft 1.20.1 to 1.21.1. The newest build requires Create, optionally Just Enough Items (JEI).
- Forge: Minecraft 1.18.2 to 1.20.1, builds stopped after May 2025. The newest build requires Create, optionally Just Enough Items (JEI).
What the chunk loaders do
- Two tiers. The andesite loader keeps a single chunk loaded. The brass loader has a configurable range from 1x1 up to 5x5.
- Works on the ground, on trains and on contraptions, and can be toggled in-game through contraption controls.
- Attaches to Train Stations, so a line only loads chunks where it needs them and avoids needless lag.
- Loads and unloads chunks reliably, with many options in the host-side configs.
- Ships with complete ponder scenes.
If the default crafting recipes do not suit a pack, a datapack can override them.
Installation
Set up NeoForge for the release you want, following the Forge and NeoForge install guide. Add Create, then place the mod file in your mods folder alongside it. Install the same file on the host so both sides match. JEI is optional.
Trade-offs
This is a narrow add-on. It does one job, chunk loading, and it depends on Create being present.

Yes, but it has to be installed on both sides, on the player's end and on the host. The host-side configs control loader behaviour, so whoever runs the multiplayer world adjusts the options there.
