Detail Armor Bar Reconstructed is a detail armor bar mod for Fabric and NeoForge. It turns the plain row of armor icons into a readout of what you are actually wearing, with colors, overlays and warnings drawn directly on the HUD. It is client-side only.
Coredex maintains it as a fork of RedLime's original Detail Armor Bar, which RedLime created. The aim is to carry every feature of the original forward to newer releases and then extend it.
Loaders and versions
- Fabric: Minecraft 1.21 to 26.3. The newest build requires EclipseUI and Fabric API; some builds for 26.2 require EclipseUI; some builds for 1.21 to 26.1.2 require Fabric API; some builds for 1.21.9 need no dependencies.
- NeoForge: Minecraft 1.21 to 26.3. The newest build requires EclipseUI; some builds for 1.21 to 26.2 need no dependencies.
What it adds to the armor bar
- A Netherite armor bar, so the top-tier set reads differently at a glance.
- Protection type colors on the bar, such as yellow for blast protection and orange for fire protection.
- An armor mending effect and a thorns overlay.
- A low durability warning effect and durability notifications.
- Armor trim display and an inventory overlay showing protection type.
- Copper armor textures, contributed by axtrough.
Compared with the original, the fork adds more control. You can align the enchantment overlay by levels or by armor points, and in aligned mode each piece shows its own color. You can set custom colors for Protection, Projectile Protection, Blast Protection and Fire Protection, or apply one uniform color to everything. Aura mode has an animation speed setting, and the overlay can be switched off entirely.
Installing it
Pick the file that matches your loader and game release, then place it in the mods folder along with every dependency listed above. If you have not set up a loader yet, follow the guide to installing Fabric or the one for Forge and NeoForge. The mod goes on the client only. A dedicated server is unsupported, so leave it out of a server's mods folder.
Credits and backports
ram6ert contributed the 1.21.5 fork, snessim and Heamaci made textures, and Icedude907 fixed a visual bug. Backport requests go through an issue on the GitHub repository.
Questions about Detail Armor Bar Reconstructed.
4 questions
Does Detail Armor Bar Reconstructed work on multiplayer servers?
It is a client-side mod and the server is unsupported. Install it only on your own client, and do not place it in a server's mods folder. The changes affect only how your armor bar is drawn on your own screen.
Does Detail Armor Bar Reconstructed work on Forge?
Its builds are made for Fabric and NeoForge. No Forge builds are listed, so a Forge install has nothing to load. Pick the Fabric or NeoForge file that matches your Minecraft release and your loader.
How is it different from the original Detail Armor Bar?
It is a maintained fork of RedLime's mod. It adds overlay alignment by levels or armor points, per-protection and uniform colors, aura animation speed, a none option for the overlay and thorns overlay alignment.
Is there a Bedrock version of Detail Armor Bar Reconstructed?
No. It is a Java Edition mod that needs Fabric or NeoForge, and Bedrock Edition cannot load mods of this kind.
