Items Displayed is a Fabric mod that turns items into 3D models standing in the world. It is built for builders and adventurers who find item frames dull. It must be installed on both sides, so players and the host of a multiplayer world all need it.
Loaders and versions
- Fabric: Minecraft 1.20 to 26.3. The newest build requires Fabric API; some builds for 1.20.2 to 1.20.3 need no dependencies.
Placing items
There is nothing to craft. To place an item, right-click while sneaking with it in your hand. Current models cover all sherds, smithing templates and ingots, among others. The models follow the vanilla art style, so they blend into a build. The creator plans to add blaze rods, totems of undying and bottles in later updates.
The Item Display stand
The mod also adds an item called Item Display, crafted from sticks. It behaves like an armor stand, except it can be rotated to any angle instead of only 45 degrees.
Installation
- 1.Install Fabric by following the guide on installing Fabric for Minecraft Java.
- 2.Add Fabric API to the mods folder, since the newest release requires it.
- 3.Put the Items Displayed file in the same mods folder, then launch the Fabric profile.
- 4.On a multiplayer world, repeat this for the host and every player.
Questions about Items Displayed.
3 questions
How do I place an item with Items Displayed?
Hold a supported item, such as a pottery sherd, a smithing template or an ingot, then sneak and right-click where you want it. No crafting or setup is needed. For free rotation, craft an Item Display from sticks, which supports sherds and smithing templates.
Does Items Displayed need to be installed for multiplayer?
Yes. The mod is required on both sides, so a multiplayer host and each player who joins must have it installed, along with Fabric API for the newest release. Each of them also needs Fabric installed, and the mod files go in the mods folder.
Can I add Items Displayed to a modpack?
Yes. The creator allows it, with two conditions. Link to the mod's page, and do not change anything inside the mod itself. Mentioning the mod in the pack description is welcome but optional.
