Right Click Harvest turns a right click on a fully grown crop into an instant harvest and replant, so a farm never has to be broken and re-tilled block by block. It runs on Fabric, Forge, NeoForge, and Quilt, and it is a server-side mod: install it on the server, and every connecting player gets the behavior without installing anything themselves.

What Right Click Harvest changes

  • Right-click a grown crop to harvest it and automatically replant the seed.
  • Covers vanilla crops, including cocoa beans, cactus, and sugar cane.
  • A fortune-enchanted hoe increases the harvest yield.
  • Works on most modded crops with no extra configuration.
  • A separate compatibility add-on covers Supplementaries crops specifically.

Installing Right Click Harvest and its dependencies

Every loader build requires JamLib, the shared library Jamalam's mods run on; the mod will not load without it. Fabric builds have a second requirement on top of that: Fabric API. Forge and NeoForge builds do not need an extra API mod beyond JamLib.

Version support by loader

Fabric, NeoForge, and Quilt are all current through Minecraft 26.2, with matching release builds published in June 2026. Forge lags well behind: its most recent release, v4.6.1 from January 2026, only supports 1.20.1, so Forge players should not expect parity with the other three loaders.

Configuration options

  • Require hoe: whether a hoe must be held to harvest crops (default off).
  • Harvest radius: whether higher-tier hoes harvest a wider area (default on).
  • Hunger cost: how much hunger, if any, harvesting consumes (default none).
  • Experience handling: whether harvesting consumes or rewards XP (default neither).
  • Block and item tags let server owners customize which crops and hoes qualify.

On Fabric, edit these settings through Mod Menu once JamLib is installed. On servers without Mod Menu, edit `config/rightclickharvest.json5` directly.

Questions about Right Click Harvest.

4 questions

Which mod adds right-click crop harvesting in Minecraft?

Right Click Harvest, made by Jamalam and published under the JamCoreModding organization, is the mod most players mean when they ask this. It lets you right-click a grown crop to harvest and auto-replant it, on Fabric, Forge, NeoForge, and Quilt, and it needs the JamLib library to run.

Is Right Click Harvest the same mod as Actually Harvest?

No. Actually Harvest (right click and XP) is a separate project from a different developer with its own take on right-click harvesting and XP rewards. Right Click Harvest is Jamalam's mod, distributed under JamCoreModding with its own dependency, JamLib, and its own configuration options. They are not interchangeable.

What do I need to install alongside Right Click Harvest?

Every loader needs JamLib, the shared library Jamalam's mods depend on. Fabric builds also need Fabric API. Forge and NeoForge builds do not need an extra API mod beyond JamLib. Install the matching loader's JamLib build first, or the mod will fail to load.

Does Right Click Harvest work on multiplayer servers?

Yes, and it has to. Right Click Harvest is a server-side mod, and Modrinth lists client-only support as unsupported, so installing it on just the client does nothing. Put it on the server, and every connecting player gets right-click harvesting without installing anything themselves.
