Simple Voice Chat Discord Bridge is an addon for Simple Voice Chat that makes a bridge between it and Discord. Players who lack the voice mod on their own machine can still hear and speak through Discord. It ships as a mod for Fabric and NeoForge and as a plugin for Paper, Purpur and Folia.
The headline example is Bedrock. Players connected through Geyser can use voice chat through the bridge.

Setting up the bridge
- 1.Install and configure Simple Voice Chat 2.4.11 or later. On Fabric, add Fabric API as well.
- 2.Add the bridge and start the host once so it writes its config file. On Fabric that is config/voicechat-discord.yml. On Paper and Purpur it is plugins/voicechat-discord/config.yml.
- 3.Create an application in the Discord developer portal, reset the bot token, and paste it into the config in place of DISCORD_BOT_TOKEN_HERE.
- 4.Set the application's install link to None, turn off Public Bot, then invite the bot with an OAuth link built from your Application ID. Leave every requested permission enabled.
- 5.Turn on Developer Mode in Discord, copy the voice channel's ID, and paste it as vc_id in the config.
Limits and trade-offs
Each bot is one seat. Three bots mean three people can be connected through Discord at the same time, and you add more bots in the config for more seats. Errors in the console name the vc_id of the bot that failed, which makes a bad channel ID easy to spot.
This is not an official Simple Voice Chat addon. Report problems on the project's GitHub issues page, not in the Simple Voice Chat Discord. The older Bukkit and Spigot plugin releases stopped at Minecraft 1.20, so use the Paper, Purpur or Folia plugin instead.

Can Bedrock players use voice chat with this addon?
Yes, that is the main example the creator gives. The bridge lets players without Simple Voice Chat on their machine hear and speak, and that includes Bedrock players connected through Geyser. They join through a Discord voice channel linked by a bot token and a channel ID in the config file.
Does Simple Voice Chat Discord Bridge need Simple Voice Chat installed?
Yes. It is an addon, so Simple Voice Chat 2.4.11 or later must be installed and configured first. The Fabric build also needs Fabric API. Players who join through Discord do not need Simple Voice Chat on their own machine.
How many people can use the Discord bridge at once?
One person per bot. Each bot you add to the config holds one connection, so three bots allow three players to be linked through Discord at the same time. Keep each bot's voice channel to two users to avoid audio glitches.
