What changes in play
Players get Downed instead of dying, and other players can revive them by sneaking.
Admins can exempt a player from being downed by giving them the tag simplerevive.custom_disable.
Compatibility and troubleshooting
Simple Revive works alongside the Graves Datapack from Vanilla Tweaks. It does not work with anything that needs the Immediate Respawn gamerule switched off. The EssentialsX plugin can interfere with it.

Questions about Simple Revive.
4 questions
How do you revive a downed player in Simple Revive?
A player who would have died is left Downed instead. The in-game config menu opens with /function simplerevive:admin/config.
Is Simple Revive a datapack or a mod?
Both. It ships as a plain datapack and as mod files for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt. The datapack goes in the world's datapacks folder. The mod file goes in the mods folder.
Does Simple Revive work on multiplayer servers?
It is required on the server, and installing it on the player side is optional. It conflicts with anything that needs the Immediate Respawn gamerule turned off, and EssentialsX may interfere with it.
How do I stop a player from being downed?
Give that player the tag simplerevive.custom_disable. That makes them unable to get downed.
