Sky Void Additions adds vanilla-like mechanics so that every item, mob and advancement can be obtained in SkyBlock. It comes as a mod for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, and as a plain datapack, covering 1.20 to 26.2 (NeoForge starts at 1.21). It is required on the server and optional on the client.
What it changes
- Packed ice surrounded by lava converts into amethyst geodes.
- Endermites dig into end stone to grow chorus flowers, and turn cobblestone into end stone.
- Magma cubes engulf stone, deepslate and netherrack and convert them into ores or other stone types.
- Lightning turns guardians into elder guardians and infests stone with silverfish.
- Piglins barter pigstep, horse armor and gilded blackstone for gold blocks.
- Sniffers sneeze on sand and gravel to make suspicious variants, and drowned can hatch sniffer eggs.
- Wandering traders sometimes arrive with a camel on a lead, and can sell extra items such as glow berries and resin clumps.
How to install it
Pick one route. For the mod, use the file made for your loader and your Minecraft release, and follow the steps in how to install mods on Java.
- 1.Install Fabric, Forge, NeoForge or Quilt for your release, or choose the datapack route.
- 2.For the mod route, place the mod .jar in the mods folder.
- 3.On a multiplayer setup, install it on the server. Players can join without it.
- 4.Open the settings menu in the world with /function skyvoid_additions:customize/update_config/open_menu.
Requirements and trade-offs
The newest release (1.6.0) needs no other mod and lists two optional Modrinth projects. Nylium Portals depends on Netherrack Portals, and Bastion Loot from Suspicious Gravel depends on Sneezy Suspicious Sniffers.
