Skyboxify is a Fabric mod that lets you use OptiFine skies in Java 1.21 and newer. Releases cover 1.21 through 26.3, and the mod is visual-only, so it belongs on the player's own install. Custom OptiFine-style skies render on Fabric instead of being ignored.
Requirements
- Loader: Fabric only. No other loader is listed.
- Releases: 1.21 to 26.3.
- Side: required on the player's install, unsupported on dedicated hosts.
- Newest release: needs Fabric API and YetAnotherConfigLib. Mod Menu is optional.
Older releases differ, and some need only Fabric API. Read the dependency line for the exact release you pick.
Installing it
- 1.Set up Fabric Loader for your Java release, following the Fabric install guide if needed.
- 2.Place the mod file and every required dependency file in the mods folder (.minecraft/mods by default).
- 3.Launch with the Fabric profile.
Trade-offs and support
Fabric is the only loader, so anyone on another loader has no option here. Because dedicated hosts are unsupported, a multiplayer host cannot deliver skies to players. Each player installs the mod themselves.

Questions about Skyboxify.
4 questions
Does Skyboxify work with OptiFine skies?
Yes, that is its purpose. Skyboxify lets Fabric use OptiFine skies on Java 1.21 and newer. It is a visual-only mod, so you install it on your own install and add the sky content you want to see. Fabric API is required, and the newest releases also need YetAnotherConfigLib.
Which Minecraft versions does Skyboxify support?
Fabric releases span 1.21 to 26.3. The dependencies change between ranges, so older releases need only Fabric API, while the newest release also requires YetAnotherConfigLib. Pick the file that matches your exact Java release and install its listed dependencies alongside it.
Does Skyboxify work on multiplayer servers?
Dedicated hosts are unsupported, and the mod is required only on the player's own install. Installing it on a host gives no benefit. Every player who wants the custom skies installs it themselves, since nothing is delivered from the host side.
Does Skyboxify work on Forge or NeoForge?
No. Only Fabric releases are listed, from 1.21 to 26.3. Players on Forge, NeoForge or Quilt have no Skyboxify release to install, so the mod needs a Fabric setup with Fabric API in the mods folder.
