Trading Post is a trading post mod that adds one block to your world and gathers every villager trade in an area into a single interface. It runs on Fabric and NeoForge, with older Forge builds now stopped. It must be installed on both the client and the server.
Loaders and versions
- Fabric: Minecraft 1.19 to 26.3. The newest build requires Fabric API, Puzzles Lib and Forge Config API Port.
- NeoForge: Minecraft 1.20.4 to 26.3. The newest build requires Puzzles Lib.
- Forge: Minecraft 1.19 to 1.20.4, builds stopped after February 2024. The newest build requires Puzzles Lib and Forge Config API Port, optionally Forge Config Screens; builds for 1.19 to 1.20.1 require Puzzles Lib.
What the block does
Instead of searching for individual villagers, you access all nearby trades in one interface within an area.
- One block replaces the villager hunt, with every nearby trade in a single screen.
- A custom model and a smooth animation play as you approach, which suits village builds.
Installation
- 1.Install Fabric or NeoForge for your Minecraft Java instance, matching the version you want to play.
- 2.Add the Trading Post file and every dependency listed above to the mods folder, on the client and on the server.
Settings live in `.minecraft/config` as client, common or server TOML files, depending on the type of option. On Fabric, in-game configuration needs Mod Menu.
Credits
Fuzs made the mod, inspired by the trading post block in RWTema's older Extra Utilities. The floating emerald rendering code comes from Vazkii's matrix enchanting table renderer in Quark.
Questions about Trading Post.
4 questions
Does Trading Post need to be installed on the server?
Yes. Trading Post is required on both the client and the server. Install it on each side, together with the dependencies listed for your loader, which are Puzzles Lib on NeoForge and Fabric API, Puzzles Lib and Forge Config API Port on Fabric.
Does Trading Post work on Forge?
Not on current versions. Forge builds stopped, and development continues on Fabric and NeoForge. Older Forge releases still exist for earlier versions, but anything recent needs one of the two active loaders.
What does the trading post block do?
It collects the trades of villagers in the surrounding area into one interface. You browse and use those offers from the block instead of visiting each villager.
Does Trading Post work with Bedrock Edition?
No. It is a Java Edition mod for Fabric and NeoForge, and Bedrock cannot load mods of this kind.
