AdvancedTeleport is a teleportation plugin for Paper, Spigot and Purpur servers. One install covers TPA requests, homes, warps, spawns and random teleport. It is server-side only, so players join as usual and install nothing. Folia and Bukkit builds exist but have stopped.

Server software and versions

  • Paper, Purpur and Spigot: Minecraft 1.8.8 to 1.21.11. The newest build needs no dependencies.
  • Folia: Minecraft 1.18 to 1.19.4, builds stopped after June 2023. The newest build needs no dependencies.
  • Bukkit: Minecraft 1.8.8 to 1.19.3, builds stopped after February 2023. The newest build needs no dependencies.

What it does

  • Teleport requests with /tpa and /tpahere, multiple pending requests, sound alerts, blocking, and clickable buttons in the request messages.
  • Warps with an optional GUI, plus personal homes and a clickable list of both.
  • Per-world spawns and respawn locations, including random or warp-based respawns.
  • Random teleport with configurable limits, border plugin support and instant teleportation on Paper.
  • Teleportation signs that send players to warps or spawns.
  • Warm-ups, cooldowns, distance limits and cross-world restrictions.
  • Offline teleportation, so admins can visit or change a player's last location.

Costs, maps and data

Teleports can cost money through Vault-based economy plugins, experience or items. Warps, spawns and optionally homes appear as icons on web maps such as Dynmap and squaremap. Data stays local or moves to an external MySQL database, and Essentials data can be imported and exported. Teleport particles are built in, or PlayerParticles can take over for richer effects. A developer API lets other plugins hook in.

Installation

Put the plugin file in the plugins folder and restart the server. The steps match any other plugin, covered in the plugin install guide. Commands, permissions and feature details are in the wiki the developer maintains.

The feature set is broad, which also means a lot of config to tune. Servers that only want a simple home command may find it more than they need.

Questions about AdvancedTeleport.

3 questions

How do I install AdvancedTeleport?

Place the plugin file in the plugins folder of a Paper, Spigot or Purpur server and restart. The plugin needs a working internet connection to download its supporting libraries. Players need nothing installed on their side.

Does AdvancedTeleport work on Folia?

Only through an older alpha Folia release, and Folia builds have stopped since June 2023. The current releases target Paper, Purpur and Spigot, so a Folia server is better served by checking the stopped release first.

Can AdvancedTeleport import data from Essentials?

Yes. Importing and exporting is a built-in feature, and AdvancedTeleport can transfer data between Essentials and itself, so a server can move data in either direction. Storage can be local or on an external MySQL server. Back up both data sets first, before running a transfer.
