Donut RTP & RTP Zone is a free, open-source random teleport plugin for Paper, Folia, Purpur, Spigot and Bukkit servers. `/rtp` opens a menu of destinations, and RTP zones at spawn send players into the wild without a command. It is server-side only, so players join as normal and install nothing.
Server software and versions
- Bukkit, Folia, Paper, Purpur and Spigot: Minecraft 1.20 to 26.3. The newest build needs no dependencies.
How a teleport works
Players pick a destination in the menu, or skip it with `/rtp nether`. A warmup counts down on the action bar, a title or both. Walking off your block or taking damage cancels it, while jumping in place does not. Landings avoid water, lava, fire, cobwebs, trees, the void and the Nether roof, stay inside the world border, and keep clear of WorldGuard regions and GriefPrevention claims. Players take no fall damage for five seconds after landing.
RTP zones at spawn
Group zones run one countdown for everyone on the pad, and whoever is still inside when it ends lands together, a few blocks apart. A minimum player count can hold the countdown. Solo zones start a personal countdown on entry. Setting one up takes three steps in game.
- 1.Stand on one corner and run `/rtpadmin pos1`.
- 2.Stand on the opposite corner and run `/rtpadmin pos2`.
- 3.Run `/rtpadmin zone create spawn overworld`, or add `region <name>` to use a WorldGuard region instead.
Every zone setting changes through `/rtpadmin zone set` without a restart. Hologram and scoreboard timers work through PlaceholderAPI, for example `%donutrtp_zone_spawn_countdown%`.
Destinations, cooldowns and costs
Destinations are unlimited. Each has its own world, square or circle shape, minimum and maximum distance, biome allow and deny lists, permission, cooldown, cost and menu icon. Cooldowns are saved and survive restarts. Rank tiers shorten them: with `vip: 120` configured, players holding `donutrtp.cooldown.vip` wait two minutes. Costs run through Vault, are taken after landing, and are refunded if the teleport fails. Ops and holders of `donutrtp.warmup.bypass` skip the warmup, and `/rtp player` lets staff send someone with no warmup, cooldown or cost.
Installation
Nothing is required, and Vault, WorldGuard, GriefPrevention and PlaceholderAPI are all optional. Put the plugin file in the plugins folder and restart, as covered in the plugin install guide.
Questions about Donut RTP & RTP Zone.
5 questions
Does Donut RTP work on Folia?
Yes. Folia is one of the listed targets alongside Paper, Purpur, Spigot and Bukkit. On Folia the plugin loads chunks asynchronously and touches every block, player and chunk only from the region that owns it.
Which Minecraft versions does Donut RTP support?
The plugin supports Minecraft 1.20 to 26.3 on Bukkit, Folia, Paper, Purpur and Spigot. The newest release, 2.0.0, needs no dependencies, so it runs without Vault or any other plugin installed.
Does Donut RTP need Vault or a permissions plugin?
No. Vault, WorldGuard, GriefPrevention and PlaceholderAPI are optional. Vault only adds destination costs. Permissions such as donutrtp.warmup.bypass and donutrtp.cooldown.vip are plain nodes, which you can grant with whichever permissions plugin you already use.
Does Donut RTP lag the server?
Finding a spot is designed not to freeze the server. On Paper and Folia, chunks load asynchronously and a few safe spots per destination are found ahead of time. On Spigot, at most one chunk loads per tick.
Is this the same plugin as other DonutRTP projects?
This page covers Donut RTP & RTP Zone, published by NightBeam Studio on Modrinth. Its source code lives in the MeherBenSalem/Donut-RTP repository on GitHub under an Apache License 2.0 file. Check that the creator name and repository match before you install a plugin with a similar name.
