The CommandPanels plugin is a menu system for Paper and Folia servers. It lets admins create custom menus as inventory GUIs, dialogs and Bedrock forms. It runs on the server only, so players join as usual and install nothing.

Server software and versions

  • Folia and Paper: Minecraft 1.21.4 to 26.3. The newest build needs no dependencies.

What it does

The scope is deliberately tight. CommandPanels focuses on menus and aims to stay fast and stable while still covering advanced needs, from simple kit menus to shops, quests and navigation.

  • Three panel types: inventory GUIs, dialogs and Bedrock/Floodgate forms.
  • An animation system for full control over how a menu changes.
  • PlaceholderAPI and MiniMessage support on every panel.
  • Persistent and session-based player data.
  • A developer API for custom command tags and material tags.

Web editor and logic engine

If you would rather not edit YAML, a standalone web editor designs panels in the browser with an accurate live preview. It matches the plugin feature for feature and needs no account. The logic engine adds condition grouping and fallbacks, and exposes player data through PlaceholderAPI. The Permission Observer watches the permission nodes a panel uses and refreshes it only when one changes, so there are no refresh intervals.

Questions about CommandPanels.

3 questions

Does CommandPanels work on Folia?

Yes. The creator lists Paper and Folia as the supported server software, and the newest release is published for both. It is a server-side plugin, so you add it to the plugins folder and restart. Players do not install anything.

Can CommandPanels make menus for Bedrock players?

Yes. It supports Bedrock/Floodgate forms alongside inventory GUIs and dialogs. Bedrock players connect through Geyser and Floodgate, so those need to be set up on your server for native Bedrock menus to appear.

Do I need PlaceholderAPI to use CommandPanels?

No. The newest release lists no required dependencies. PlaceholderAPI is supported on every panel and is how player data is read anywhere, so install it if you want placeholders in your menus.
