What SellGUI works with.
| Platform | Java Edition |
|---|---|
| Loaders | Bukkit, Paper, Purpur, Spigot |
| Minecraft versions | 1.20, 1.20.6, 1.21.11, 26.1.2, 26.2 |
SellGUI is a selling plugin for Bukkit, Paper, Purpur and Spigot servers. It gives players a configurable sell menu, a /sellall command and autosell, so an economy works without building shop stands. It runs on the server only, and players join as usual.
Server software and versions
- Bukkit, Paper, Purpur and Spigot: Minecraft 1.20 to 26.2. The newest build needs no dependencies; some builds for 1.20.6 to 1.21.11 require NBT-API.
What it does
The v3 line supports multiple sell menus, each one a YAML file in gui/sell_menus/, such as default.yml and fishing.yml. A menu can set allowed-items, denied-items, or exclusive: true to lock listed items to that menu alone. /sellall and autosell skip locked items. Admins can set a fixed price or a random price range for the item in hand, and a price evaluation menu shows what an item is worth.
Prices can come from EssentialsX worth or ShopGUIPlus, and MMOItems and Nexo items are detected. Item stack normalization fixes items that stopped stacking after smelting, rejoining or a restart. NguyenSonhoa took over the project from its original author, Aoov.
Installation
- 1.Put the SellGUI plugin file in the plugins folder. Java 21 is recommended for modern Paper and Spigot.
- 2.Install Vault and an economy plugin if the server has none.
- 3.Restart so SellGUI generates its files in plugins/SellGUI/.
- 4.Edit the menu and price files, then run /sellgui reload.
Commands and permissions
- /sellgui (aliases /sg and /sell) opens the default menu with sellgui.use. /sellgui fishing opens a named menu.
- /sellall previews a sale and /sellall confirm completes it, with sellgui.sellall.
- /sellgui autosell or /autosell opens autosell settings with sellgui.autosell.
- /sellgui setprice and /sellgui setrange set prices for the held item, and both default to op.
- Opening a menu for another player needs sellgui.others, which is granted manually.
Optional links to other plugins stay off until you need them. PlaceholderAPI adds %sellgui_*% placeholders, and PacketEvents can show item worth lore through packets when enabled. The trade-off is setup work, since prices and menu rules live in configuration files you must tune yourself.

Questions about SellGUI.
4 questions
How do I install SellGUI?
Place the plugin file in the plugins folder of a Bukkit, Paper, Purpur or Spigot server, make sure Vault and an economy plugin are present, then restart. SellGUI generates its files in plugins/SellGUI/. After editing them, run /sellgui reload or restart again.
Does SellGUI need Vault?
Yes. Vault handles the economy side, so the server also needs an economy plugin such as EssentialsX, CMI or another Vault-compatible one. Without them there is no balance to pay players into when they sell items.
How do I open a specific sell menu?
Run /sellgui followed by the menu name, for example /sellgui fishing. Each menu is a YAML file in gui/sell_menus/. Players need sellgui.use plus the matching menu permission, such as sellgui.menu.fishing.
Can players set their own prices in SellGUI?
No by default. The price commands /sellgui setprice and /sellgui setrange use permissions that default to op. Regular players can use the sell menu, /sellall and autosell, which default to true.
