Hotbar Slot Button is a light 16x resource pack for Minecraft Bedrock that adds on-screen buttons acting as hotbar slots. It targets touch players who struggle to reach the hotbar, especially in PvP. It is a Bedrock-only pack and needs no companion mods.

What changes in play
Each button selects the held item for its slot, so button 1 presses hotbar 1, button 2 presses hotbar 2, and so on. The buttons support 2-finger mode. You can keep one finger on the screen while mining, then tap a button with another to swap tools, without lifting off. Swapping from a pickaxe to a shovel when gravel appears no longer breaks your rhythm.
Customising position and size
- 1.Tap the gear button at the bottom right of the screen to open the Editor panel.
- 2.Use the slider in the Editor panel to move and resize the buttons.
- 3.Copy the code from the text box in the panel.
- 4.Paste it into the pack's _global_variables.json file to keep the layout.
How to install Hotbar Slot Button

How do I save my hotbar button layout?
The pack cannot save positions in game because of JSON UI limitations. After arranging the buttons in the Editor panel, copy the code from the text box and paste it over the matching values in the pack's _global_variables.json file.
Can I switch tools while mining with Hotbar Slot Button?
Yes. The buttons support 2-finger mode, so you can hold one finger on the screen to keep mining and tap a slot button with another finger to change the held item, with no need to lift your first finger.
Does Hotbar Slot Button work on Minecraft Java Edition?
No. Hotbar Slot Button is a Bedrock Edition resource pack, and Java Edition cannot load it. Java Edition uses a different format. To use it on Bedrock, open the .mcpack file with Minecraft and switch the pack on per world under Resource Packs in the world's settings.
