Bedrock UI+

A Bedrock-only interface overhaul from Bruhh69 that adds a rebuilt HUD, pause menu modules, an ore chart and JEI-style inventories. It suits survival and PvP players who want more information on screen.

Minecraft versions1.20, 26.3, 26.10, 26.11, 26.12, 26.13, 26.20, 26.30, 26.40, 26.50

Bedrock UI+ is a simplistic x16 resource pack that overhauls the Bedrock start screen, HUD, chat and container screens. Bruhh69 describes it as an overhaul of HUD+, aimed at survival and PvP. It is Bedrock only, has no loader, and needs no companion pack.

Supported versions

  • Minecraft 1.20 to 26.50.

What changes

  • Start screen: the Play button moves to the bottom left, with a profile section at the top left and a hide GUI button.
  • HUD: a working clock and compass, XP percentage and level requirement beside the bar, Java-style bottom chat, hotbar coordinates, days played, a durability viewer and a low durability warning.
  • Pause menu modules: a debug screen with FPS counter, an inventory HUD, a player list HUD, an RGB XP bar, a gamma slider and a hotbar selector button.
  • Ore visualizer: an ore chart that follows your Y level, plus arrows to the optimal level (yellow up, blue down).
  • Customisation: 8 crosshairs, 10 hotbar textures and 20 selected-hotbar textures.
  • Containers: a JEI-style inventory layout, quick craft buttons, furnace fuel and output percentages, a brewing guide, chest search and unlocked villager trades.

How to install Bedrock UI+

  1. 1.Get the .mcpack file from the CurseForge page linked on this resource.
  2. 2.Open the file with Minecraft so it imports.
  3. 3.In the world settings, switch the pack on under Resource Packs.
  4. 4.Open the pause screen and use the Menu button at the top left to reach the modules.

If the pack does not show up, the add-on install guide walks through the import step. Three settings sit in _global_variables.json: $use_jei_layout, $transparent_jei and $item_hover_text_position (bottom right by default).

Trade-offs

The pack rewrites a large share of Bedrock menus at once, and the current file is labelled Beta v0.5. Item name borders need a rename with a colour code first, such as the quartz, iron and diamond codes the creator lists.

Questions about Bedrock UI+.

4 questions

How do I install Bedrock UI+?

Open the .mcpack file with Minecraft on Windows, a phone or a tablet and it imports itself. Then open your world's settings, go to Resource Packs and activate Bedrock UI+. The modules menu appears from the pause screen, using the Menu button at the top left.

Does Bedrock UI+ work on Java Edition?

No. It is a Bedrock Edition pack, and Java Edition uses a different format that cannot load it. Some features, such as the Java-style chat and XP number, only imitate Java looks inside Bedrock.

Can I turn off the JEI-style inventory layout?

Yes. Open _global_variables.json in the pack and set $use_jei_layout to false. The same file holds $transparent_jei, which is true by default and gives a non-transparent layout when set to false, and a setting for where item hover text sits.

What does the ore visualizer in Bedrock UI+ show?

It shows an ore chart at the top right that changes with your Y coordinate. A longer chart means more ores at that depth. An optimal Y level finder adds arrows, yellow to go up and blue to go down.
